Jaclyn Alatrash Reportedly Indicted Over Alleged $9,000 Credit Card Purchases
The allegations concern the Republican congressman's girlfriend, while reported deliveries to his Ohio home do not establish his involvement or knowledge

Jaclyn Alatrash, the girlfriend of Republican US Representative Max Miller, was reportedly indicted on three criminal charges over alleged unauthorised credit card purchases worth more than $9,000 (£6,800). Records reviewed by Mother Jones reportedly showed that many of the deliveries went to the congressman's home in northeast Ohio.
According to published reports, an Ohio grand jury indicted Alatrash on charges of grand theft, telecommunications fraud and misuse of a credit card. She is reportedly scheduled to appear for arraignment in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, on 23 October 2026. The hearing date should be confirmed against the official court docket before publication.
The allegations concern Alatrash, not Miller. The reported delivery addresses do not establish that the congressman knew about or authorised the disputed purchases.
Jaclyn Alatrash Faces Three Charges Over Alleged Credit Card Spending
The allegations stem from claims made by Alatrash's former husband, who told Mother Jones that she had used his personal credit card to make more than $9,000 (£6,800) in purchases through Instacart after their legal separation.
He reportedly said Alatrash was not an authorised user of his credit card, including during their marriage. The disputed transactions allegedly occurred between September 2025 and January 2026, while the former husband said their marriage had legally ended in February 2025.
The indictment reportedly contains three counts. The precise allegations supporting each charge should be checked against the charging document. An indictment is a formal accusation and does not establish guilt.
Why Were the Alleged Instacart Deliveries Sent to Max Miller's Home?
Records reviewed by Mother Jones reportedly showed that many of the disputed deliveries went to Miller's residence in northeast Ohio. The report identified purchases involving retailers including Costco, Ulta Beauty, Spirit Halloween and the Vitamin Shoppe.
The reported delivery destinations have drawn attention because of Alatrash's relationship with the congressman. However, the addresses alone do not establish who placed the individual orders, who received the goods, or whether Miller knew about the alleged credit card use.
The reported purchases exceeded $9,000 (£6,800), but that figure should not be presented as a court-established financial loss. The transactions, their authorisation status and the circumstances surrounding the deliveries remain allegations requiring evidence.
Mother Jones reported that Miller testified he began dating Alatrash in December 2024. Although that predates the alleged transactions, the timeline does not establish that Miller knew about or participated in them.
What Happens Next in the Jaclyn Alatrash Case?
Alatrash is reportedly due to appear for arraignment in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, on 23 October 2026. The proceedings may provide further information about the charges, the disputed purchases and the evidence supporting the allegations. The exact legal significance of the transactions will depend on the charges and evidence presented in court.
The indictment remains an accusation rather than a finding of guilt. Alatrash is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
