The lights dimmed at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, but the atmosphere was anything but quiet as Jennifer Lopez took to the stage for her latest residency show. Fans expected the usual high-octane choreography and vocal prowess, yet they received something far more personal.

Between hits, the global superstar invited an audience member who turned out to share a first name with her ex-husband, Ben Affleck. What followed drew laughter from Lopez herself and from the crowd.

A Subtle Dig at the Las Vegas Residency

The 'On the Floor' singer still has the groove, and the audience was visibly entertained as she performed. At one point, Lopez interacted with them and singled out one fan, saying, 'Can we bring him up here? Yes, you!'

While waiting for the fan to join her on stage, Lopez remarked, 'Oh yes look at this guy, we're gonna take him for everything that he's got.' Once he was with her, Lopez asked for his name and he replied, 'Ben.'

Lopez's reaction was immediate. 'Ben, ugh,' she said, before laughing out loud, prompting the audience to do the same. Deuxmoi shared the clip on Instagram, and many found the interaction humorous.

One said it was 'cute,' while another said Lopez was 'funny.' However, one viewer found it 'pretty tacky' and said Lopez 'wouldn't be laughing if the roles were reversed.'

Has JLo Moved on From Ben Affleck?

While the singer remains focused on her career, reports of a possible romance with a British suitor began to circulate. Sources claim this new connection provided a refreshing change of pace from the intense media scrutiny of her previous relationship.

However, it turned out that the rumoured boyfriend was an AI companion. Lopez reportedly spoke to her digital companion throughout, who showers her with 'a lot of admiration and positive feedback.' Her new approach to moving on from Affleck has reportedly sparked concern among her friends.

'Her friends are all worried that it could make it harder for her to meet someone because real relationships require compromise and a real man may not live up to her expectations!' a source said.

The Rise and Fall of the Bennifer Reunion

The love story of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck was decades in the making, beginning with their initial romance that led to engagement in the early 2000s. After calling off their first wedding in 2003, the pair shocked the world by reconnecting in 2021. Their reunion felt like a cinematic triumph, culminating in a surprise wedding in Las Vegas after the couple eloped, followed by a lavish ceremony in Affleck's home in Georgia.

However, the second act of their romance proved as volatile as the first. Despite appearing in her documentary, 'The Greatest Love Story Never Told,' Affleck reportedly struggled with the constant public exposure Lopez required for her brand. Differences in lifestyle and privacy preferences eventually led Lopez to file for divorce in August 2024, citing irreconcilable differences.

Despite the heartbreak after a fourth failed marriage, Lopez appeared upbeat about the split. She said on 'CBS Sunday Morning' that their divorce was 'the best thing that ever happened to me, because it changed me.'

It was not easy, however. Lopez had publicly described Affleck as the love of her life and said she never expected them to part ways again after rekindling their romance.

Despite the breakup, Lopez said she was happy and enjoying her single life. Her Las Vegas performance served as a reminder that she remains a formidable force, with or without a partner.
