Former ITV reality star Jordan Wright died last Saturday, 14 March, after his body was found in a concrete drainage system close to Bang Tao Beach in Phuket, Thailand. An unnamed worker discovered the body of the 33-year-old face-down in stagnant water according to reports.

It remains unclear if Jordan Wright's death was an accident or due to other causes. Authorities are awaiting results of his autopsy from the Vachira Phuket Hospital to determine his exact cause of death, The Daily Mail reported.

Wright is best remembered for his initial appearances on MTV's Ex On The Beach in 2017. In 2018, he would appear in 17 episodes on ITV's The Only Way Is Essex. After that, he was reportedly axed from the show for allegedly taking paid sick leave from the London Fire Brigade to film the show. He returned to his original job as a firefighter after that.

Beyond these screen roles, Wright was also known for dating Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison, Deadline reported. He was also remembered for flirting with Courtney Green and having that on-screen fight with Myles Barnett.

What Is Known So Far

Jordan Wright's death remains unclear although there were no signs that he was physically assaulted. However, captured CCTV footage reveals that the 33-year-old was running erratically at the time, wearing only a grey shirt, black trousers and barefoot.

Recovered from his body was a hotel key card for Hotel Coco Phuket Bangtao in his pocket. A brand new iPhone 17, said to be owned by Wright, was also found on a nearby riverbank.
According to Police Lieutenant Colonel Suthirak Chuthong, Wright had been dead for no more than two days. He added that when they checked the 33-year-old's hotel room, there were no signs of forced entry.

Police also looked into the hotel records to check Wright's stay timeline. It was found that the former reality star checked in alone and was scheduled to check out on 13 March. However, Jordan never officially checked out and hotel staff tried but failed to contact the 33-year-old Briton.

Wright's Death Remains Inconclusive

With possible physical assault unlikely, the possible causes of Jordan Wright's death are now narrowed. Drug intake is possible although authorities prefer not to make any conclusions until the autopsy is done.

'We are still waiting for the autopsy results from Vachira Phuket Hospital to determine whether drugs were present in his system,' Chuthong stated. 'The case remains under investigation while we wait for the official autopsy results. CCTV footage related to the incident is part of the case file and cannot be released at this stage.'

Why Was Wright restless?

With the CCTV now considered a big part in figuring out the mysterious death of Wright, his restless behaviour in front of the hotel is a bit unclear. He was moving back and forth at the time, what happened between then and once he arrived at the location remains a mystery.

Also, it has yet to be mentioned if investigators were able to check his phone for further evidence. Photos, videos, messages or calls that the device contained could help shed light if there was any foul play or trouble that the 33-year-old was involved in.

Wright made it known last January that he had moved to Thailand via his Instagram account. Based on the photos and videos he shared, it appeared he was enjoying his new home. Photos and videos of him, riding around the country and enjoying the beaches and attending parties showed few signs he was in any form of trouble.
