The 11 time Swedish Champions have been in great form this season, unbeaten in their last 10 games and are likely to put the Red Devils under a stern test. The Swedish club, who are midway through their season are currently third in the league, having finished fourth last season. However, their home form has been far from exemplary, having won only four games from their last nine.

Meanwhile, United will be without Wayne Rooney who has pulled out of the game owing to a shoulder injury. The England international is being linked with a move out of Old Trafford with Chelsea being the most probable destination. The Red Devils have rejected two bids from the Blues for the striker who is looking to hand in a transfer request should David Moyes refuse to allow him to leave.

The reigning Premier League Champions have had a lacklustre pre-season thus far, winning two and losing two of the five games played. However, the return of Nemanja Vidic to full fitness will come as a major boost for Moyes, whose team has been leaking goals aplenty in the last few weeks.
