Things seem to be getting hot between Mariah Carey and her new love interest Bryan Tanaka. After the songstress packed some PDA with the hunky backup dancer in Hawaii, the two continue their love parade. They were recently spotted getting cosy at a screening event of Carey's new reality show Mariah's World.

The 46-year-old singer, who recently ended her relationship with billionaire James Packer, attended the screening of her E! docuseries in New York on Sunday accompanied by Tanaka. According to onlookers, the couple appeared to be happy in each other's company as they shared laughs and occasional glances.

An insider told Entertainment Tonight that "Mariah's chemistry with Bryan was subtle, but undeniable".

"It is the way they communicate. They seem so happy in each other's' presence. They are on the same page... their laughing and the glances between them. You can see it in the photos," the onlooker said adding, "It was interesting to see that Bryan was as big a presence in some ways as Mariah was. He is definitely a force in that camp."

Carey and Tanaka's romance came into the limelight in the wake of the We Belong Together singer's recent split from her fiancé Packer. If rumours are to be believed, the Australian businessman had even confronted the 33-year-old showman once and banned him from a Caesar's Palace show after getting jealous over his then professional relationship with Carey.

However, after ending the engagement with Packer, the Without You hitmaker has gone all out with the display of her affection for Tanaka. First they locked lips and indulged in some frolicking during their Hawaiian rendezvous and now the two seem to be inseparable as they attend events together.

All in all, 2016 has been a "good year" for Carey despite her break-up as she enjoys time with new boyfriend. "There were so many really good parts of 2016," she said at the premiere party of Mariah's World adding, "I think people should watch the show because they're gonna see, they're gonna see moments."
