Meghan Markle has been candid in past interviews about her decision to take a step back from royal duties, describing the pressures of constant comparison with Catherine, Princess of Wales, and the constraints of royal protocol. She has suggested that she struggled with having to abide by rules that limited her ability to do things her own way.

So, when she and Prince Harry announced their decision to quit their royal duties, many observers were unsurprised. Royal followers had been anticipating a major change months before it happened. Now that Netflix has ended its partnership with Markle, however, some commentators speculate that the Sussexes could face financial strain and suggest there is one option that might prevent this.

A Possible Royal Return?

During an interview with TalkTV, royal commentator Angela Levin shared her predictions about what Markle could do next. She said the Duchess of Sussex might consider returning to royal duties because she knows that would provide a steady source of income.

When asked whether she believed Markle was struggling financially, Levin did not give a direct yes or no. Instead, she said a royal return was highly likely for the couple. Levin also claimed that Prince Harry has been wanting to return to the UK to see King Charles, but alleged that Markle was preventing the reunion from happening. Levin suggested this could change following the end of the Netflix partnership.

'But if she goes there [UK], she will become royal again, and she will get money. She will ask for lots of clothes, she will do everything. But I think if anybody gets her there and keeps her there, it will be a nightmare,' Levin said.

If Prince Harry and Markle return to the UK, they could allegedly live at Royal Lodge, which was the home of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor for 20 years. TalkTV host Mark Dolan joked that the Sussexes would need to bleach the entire place if they decided to live there.

Prince Harry's Mental State in Question

Dolan then asked Levin what she thought of Prince Harry's mental state, saying he believed the duke looked depressed. Levin, who has previously worked closely with Prince Harry, said she agreed that he appeared unhappy with his life at present.

'He's obviously extremely unhappy, and he can't put on a good face when we went out, and he was a bit irritable one day like normal irritation. And he would manage to smile and be happy and actually work with the soldiers who are wounded, and anything like that. He could be very alert. But now he can't and actually you see him moving his hand away from her because he doesn't want her to keep hanging on to his arm. It's just too much. He's depressed,' she said.

Levin Addresses Divorce Speculation

Dolan added that he believed Prince Harry was in a dark place and said that this worried him, raising the possibility that the couple might divorce if they did not resolve their issues. Levin cautioned against drawing firm conclusions, saying it was a difficult topic to discuss given that Prince Harry and Markle have two children together.
