Meghan Markle Shares New Video of Archie and Lilibet in UK Countryside After Sussexes' School Security Scare
The children appear in an Instagram Stories clip weeks after reports said they had changed schools following discussions about the family's security arrangements

Meghan Markle has shared a rare new video of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet walking through the English countryside, just weeks after the children were moved to a different school following security concerns.
The clip, posted to Instagram Stories on Sunday, shows Archie, seven, riding a scooter along a shaded country path while Lilibet, five, walks beside him carrying a backpack.
A herd of deer crosses the landscape in the distance and the family's black Labrador, Pula, wanders in and out of shot. The Temptations' 'My Girl' plays over the footage. The children's faces are turned away from the camera.
It is only the second video on Meghan's social media to show the children since the family returned to the UK on 26 August. The first, posted in September, was a home-movie-style montage of family outings that included Prince Harry fishing on a lake with Archie and Lilibet.
School Move and Renewed Security Questions
Hello! magazine reported last month that the children had been moved to a different school shortly after term began. A spokesperson for the couple told the magazine the decision followed a discussion with the family's security team 'about the practicalities of their current arrangements', and had 'nothing to do with the school'.
ITV News reported that a security car following the family became separated from them during the school drop-off, and that the children started at another school the next day.
The couple have withheld the location of their new home and the children's school. ITV News also reported that a letter from the Royal Household in September said the Sussexes would not be given security because they live as private citizens. The couple are said to be awaiting a decision on whether they will receive taxpayer-funded protection.
Life Back in Britain for the Sussexes
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who have lived in Montecito, California, since 2020, have established a private base in the UK while keeping their properties in the US and Portugal.
King Charles issued a statement through the palace describing them as 'private citizens with commercial and charitable interests'. Court circulars and official royal schedules have not been changed to include them, and sources have told People magazine their non-working status will not alter.
Harry made his first public appearance since the move at the inaugural Invictus Spirit Awards at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, London, on 17 September.
Wearing black tie and his military medals, he posed for selfies with wounded veterans and told guests he was 'incredibly excited' to meet the winners and nominees, having judged the awards alongside Meghan.
In a speech, he recalled a flight home from Afghanistan in 2008 alongside three seriously injured British servicemen and the coffin of a Danish soldier, an experience he said helped lead him to found the Invictus Games in 2014.
He told Canadian broadcaster CTV on 25 September that 'the kids are happy in school'.
Meghan's New Charity Tie-up and Low-Key Outings
On Saturday, Meghan released photographs of afternoon tea at Claridge's with Malala Yousafzai to announce a partnership between her As Ever jam and tea brand and the Malala Fund, through Archewell Philanthropies.
She said all net proceeds from As Ever jams and teas would support the fund's work to ensure every girl has access to free, safe, quality education.
The couple were photographed holding hands as they went into The Falkland Arms pub in the Cotswolds for lunch earlier this week.
