Forward rider Aleix Espargaro was impressive during Friday's practice session of the 2014 Qatar Grand Prix at the Losail International Circuit and is expected to maintain top form in the qualifying session.

Practice Review

Espargaro was the fastest during Thursday's Free Practice 1 and continued the same form during the second and third sessions on Friday. In the final session, the Spaniard clocked a time of 1:54.773s to start the qualifying from the top spot.

Pramac Racing's Andrea Iannone was the second fastest, trailing Espargaro by 0.413s. Gresini rider Alvaro Bautista was third with a time of 1:55.240. Defending champion and Honda rider Marc Marquez bounced back after a poor form on Thursday to finish as the fifth fastest during Free Practice 3.

Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo was seventh, while his teammate Valentino Rossi will start the qualifying from the ninth spot. Honda rider Dani Pedrosa was 10<sup>th.

Ducati's Cal Crutchlow and Tech 3 rider Pol Espargaro were forced to shift to the spare bike as the two failed to finish it in top 10.
