Outlander Season 1 Episode 4 is here!

Outlander, the new British-American television drama series based on Diana Gabaldon's international bestselling novels of the same name, will air its fourth episode tonight on US TV network Starz.

From the episode preview clip (below), it looks like Claire is trying to figure out an escape from Castle Leoch without anyone noticing.

Will Claire be successful in her plans to escape? And where is Dougal taking her?

Here is the official synopsis of Outlander Season 1 Episode 4 titled 'The Gathering':

"As the Castle prepares for The Gathering, Claire plots her escape. But after a dangerous encounter with a drunken Dougal and an unexpected run-in with Jamie, her plans are dashed."

Meanwhile, Outlander continued to draw viewers in its third episode, setting a series record with more than 1 million viewers, according to network officials, reports Multichannel News. As per Starz, the record audience for Saturday's third episode premiere was up 39% compared to the first episode and up 12% from the second episode.

Outlander Plot

Outlander follows the story of Claire Randall, a married combat nurse from 1945, who is mysteriously swept back in time to 1743, where she is immediately thrown into an unknown world where her life is threatened.

When she is forced to marry Jamie, a chivalrous and romantic young Scottish warrior, a passionate affair is ignited that tears Claire's heart between two vastly different men in two irreconcilable lives.
