Pretty Little Liars season 6
Charlotte's death will force the liars, Hanna, Spencer, Emily and Aria to stay in Rosewood while Alison remains devastated Freeform

Pretty Little Liars season 6 midseason premiere took fans five years forward and offered a brief glimpse of what their favourite liars are doing now. Alison, now known as Mrs Rollins, is a teacher. She mails all her girlfriends to return to Rosewood to testify in favour of her sister Charlotte. Spencer finds her dream job as a political lobbyist while Hanna is working for a renowned fashion designer and Aria works at a book publisher.

But it is Emily who has had a rough time after her father's untimely death. This had forced her to stop her higher studies and work as a bartender.

Episode 11 reintroduced all the liars with their polished makeovers and their ex-boyfriends Toby, Caleb and Ezra. The feel-good episode suddenly takes a drastic turn when Charlotte aka Cece Drake's lifeless body is discovered. The apparent suicide is soon declared a murder and all the girls are asked not to leave Rosewood until the case is closed.

Ali, who is devastated after her sister's death, vows to find the killer. A promo released by Freeform reveals that the liars start doubting Aria. "It's time to tell us what really happened," they ask her demanding an answer as she is the only one who testified against Ali's transgender sibling in the court in the winter premiere episode.

Here's the official synopsis:

"As the girls are forced to stay in Rosewood, questions about the new mystery surface. A restless Aria starts to look suspicious as she heads back to Boston a little too quickly. But could Aria really be the one behind this? As Spencer, Emily and Hanna find themselves back in familiar territory, they aren't happy with going about solving this puzzle "the old way.""

As predicted by show creator Marlene King, the upcoming episodes may soon see Uber A's wrath. A is yet to enter the show and torment the girls. Pretty Little Liars season 6 airs every Tuesday on Freeform, which was previously known as ABC Family.
