Chelsea could be a destination for unsettled Monaco star Radamel Falcao who wants to leave his current club in January, according to reports in Spain.

The Colombian striker was heavy linked with Jose Mourinho´s side during last summer but he finally decided to move to the Lige 1 after Monaco paid £40m to Atletico Madrid to secure his services.

Spanish TV Show Tiki-Taka claims that Falcao is already unhappy in France and he has asked his new club to let him go on loan in the next transfer window - with Chelsea and Real Madrid his two prefered destinations.

Rumours about Falcao´s future have been rife since he moved to France but last month he denied that he was considering quitting Monaco.

"It is undeniable that the Premier League is one of the top leagues in the world but I am very happy at Monaco, they have treated me very well and I feel comfortable," Falcao said.

Falcao has scored nine goals in 14 games since he arrived at Monaco but reports claims he is disappointed as his club is third in the league with Paris Saint Germain and Lille ahead of them in the table. Furthermore, he recently had a discussion with manager Claudio Ranieri after the Italian replaced him in the second half during the game against Nantes.

Chelsea have Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba in their ranks but they have suffered some injuries and have struggled to score sufficient goals this season.

Torres and Ba have netted just one Premier League goal each while Eto'o, who is currently out through injury, has scored only two in eight games games.
