Roblox Pulls 100+ 'Sick' Games Glorifying Charlie Kirk's Assassination After Parent and Lawmaker Fury
Comedy Central also pulled a recent 'South Park' episode from its rotation that featured a character parodying Kirk

An alarming trend has surfaced on the popular gaming platform, Roblox, where over 100 sick games were found to be glorifying the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. The gruesome content, which sparked outrage from both parents and lawmakers, has now been removed by the company in a swift and decisive action.
This incident raises serious questions about the platform's content moderation and the responsibility it holds in protecting its young user base.
Under Fire: Roblox Takes Action
On Thursday, Roblox announced that it had removed over 100 user-created games mentioning Charlie Kirk. The platform stated that the content was taken down because it violated their rules, following the assassination of the Turning Point USA founder on Wednesday at Utah Valley University.
In an email to FOX Business, a Roblox spokesperson confirmed that the company's moderation team started to identify and remove content related to Charlie Kirk on Wednesday, following his assassination at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.
A spokesperson for the company stressed that the platform prohibits content that reenacts real-world violence or sensitive events, as well as material that promotes terrorism and hate.
Roblox Pulls the Plug on Disturbing Content
'Our moderation team started seeing violative content around Charlie Kirk yesterday, and we removed over 100 experiences so far and are continuing to take action', the spokesperson said.
'We encourage anyone to report content or behaviour that may not comply with our policies by using our 'report abuse' feature. When users are found in violation of our community standards, we will take swift action to protect the safety and civility of our community.'

Parents, ask yourselves: do you want your child exposed to this kind of vile content and the people promoting it? https://t.co/4Hs6MGjEwG pic.twitter.com/lIZEbAfR9p
Charlie Kirk, the founder and president of Turning Point USA, was killed on Wednesday after being shot in the neck. He was speaking to a large crowd under a tent in the middle of an outdoor quad at the time of the fatal incident.
After being taken to a local hospital, he was later pronounced dead. At the time, Kirk was on campus for Turning Point USA's American Comeback Tour, a tour that began this spring. He was 31 years old.
When Gaming Goes Too Far
On Thursday, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a Republican from Florida, shared a post on X saying she had been made aware of a Roblox game that mentioned Kirk's assassination.
'I've just been notified that [Roblox] has a game on their platform referencing the assassination of Charlie Kirk', Luna said. 'I'm going to be asking [Apple] and the [App Store] to remove their app if they don't immediately remove this, as well as contacting the [Federal Communications Commission] to take down their website.'

The response to the controversial content was not limited to the gaming world, as another major media company also took action in the wake of Kirk's death. Following Charlie Kirk's fatal shooting, Comedy Central has removed a recent 'South Park' episode from its programming schedule.
Comedy Central Pulls' South Park' Episode
The South Park episode, a repeat broadcast featuring one of the show's main characters, Eric Cartman, in a parody of Kirk, was removed from the network's planned schedule after Kirk's death.
Initially broadcast in early August, the episode was due to be shown again on Wednesday night. While the episode was removed from Comedy Central's broadcast schedule, it remains available on demand and on Paramount+.
The episode sees Cartman take on the persona of Kirk, imitating the right-wing political activist's mannerisms and confrontational debating style. According to People, Cartman also runs a right-wing podcast, similar to Kirk's, on which he debates those who disagree with his opinions.
Following the episode's release on 7 August, Kirk posted on TikTok and referred to it as 'hilarious'.
'The 'South Park' episode just dropped, and honestly, it is hilarious', he said at the time. 'Part of it is kind of like, whatever, typical humour, but it was hilarious. Just watch this little snippet of our "Prove Me Wrongs", our viral, cultural domination on primetime on Comedy Central -- so important, so impactful that South Park is highlighting. Watch.'
