Is Savannah Guthrie Back On The 'Today' Show? Host Expects to Return in NYC, Source Said
A source said that Savannah Guthrie is planning to return to NYC this weekend

Since her 84-year-old mother's disappearance more than three weeks ago, Savannah Guthrie has been absent from her regular spot on 'Today' as a co-anchor.
Her mother's disappearance, which quickly escalated into a crime scene after having been declared an abduction case, prompted the host to go to Tucson, Arizona, to focus on the situation and find out what happened to her mother.
Nancy Guthrie went missing on 1 February 2026, and law enforcement believed that she was taken in the middle of the night.

The 84-year-old was last seen on 31 January after dinner with family, but by Sunday morning, when she failed to attend her usual Sunday service at church, her family made an emergency call. Since then, efforts have been made to find her, along with a huge reward for leads, or if she is located.
Almost a month since Nancy disappeared, a source said that observers waiting for the anchor to come back to the show should expect Savannah to return to New York City.
Savannah Guthrie to Return to NYC
In the latest report of the Daily Mail, a source said that Savannah is planning to return to New York City this weekend after what seems to be 'coming to terms' that her mother may or may not come home alive.
In an Instagram reel she posted on Thursday, 24 February, she said, 'So please, if you hear this message, if you've been waiting and you haven't been sure, let this be your sign to please come forward, tell what you know and help us bring our beloved mom home so that we can either celebrate a glorious, miraculous homecoming or celebrate the beautiful, brave and courageous and noble life that she has lived',
Furthermore, the publication also said that NBC is 'paving the way for a comeback to her slot as co-host of the Today show'.
The source said that the mother of two young children and wife of former Democratic political adviser Michael Feldman has decided she must get her other life back on track.
'She can't stay in Arizona forever,' a source said, adding, 'Her kids and her life are in New York City'.
The source also said, 'It's what her mom would want her to do. Nancy was Savannah's biggest cheerleader'.
'The family is coming to terms with the fact that this might take years. Savannah is craving normalcy,' they added.
Another source said, 'They might have taken her mother, but Savannah will not let them destroy her life too,' adding, 'Obviously, if there is a big break in the case, Savannah will be heading back to Tucson'.
They also shared that Savannah's husband went to the studio to thank everyone. 'He was there to thank the staff in person for all their support'.
Is Savannah Guthrie Back On 'Today' Show?
While the Daily Mail reported that plans are being 'paved' for her comeback, the exact timing of her return remains unknown, and few details have been shared about her upcoming plans. However, NBC has confirmed that Hoda Kotb will temporarily take over her spot.
Savannah's 'Today' show family has continued to show unwavering support for the anchor. The hosts have worn yellow ribbons in solidarity with the Guthrie family, and Studio 1A has been filled with yellow roses as a symbol of their support.
Additionally, Hoda and Craig both declined to cover the 2026 Winter Olympics, further demonstrating their support during this time. Her co-anchors have remained a constant source of encouragement for Savannah and her family.
The tearful anchor also announced that they are offering $1 million (£740,000) for her mother's recovery and will be donating $500,000 (£370,000) to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
