Star Wars Rebels season 2 will go on a week hiatus and return with all new episodes on 16 March at 9pm ET on Disney XD. In episode 19 titled The Forgotten Droid, Chopper will form an unlikely friendship with an Imperial droid.
Here is the synopsis for the episode:
In the previous episode, Master Yoda warned Ezra Bridger about the dangers of the Dark Side with his growing powers and asked him to go to Malachor for more answers. In Star Wars Legends, Malachor was a planet that was first referenced in the 2003 video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.
The game revealed that it was the location of the Battle of Malachor V, the final battle between the Galactic Republic and the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders during the Mandalorian Wars. Darth Traya refers to Malachor V in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords as a place that "corrupts all life".
The female Sith Lord had said: "There is a place in the galaxy where the Dark Side of the Force runs strong. It is something of the Sith, but it was fueled by war. It corrupts all that walks on its surface — drowns them in the power of the Dark Side. It corrupts all life, and it feeds on death."
A trailer for season 2 released back in January showed Ezra along with Kanan Jarrus and Ahsoka Tano visiting a Sith temple that oddly feels like Malachor. Speaking about the temple, Dave Filoni previously told Entertainment Weekly: "It is an ancient place. And it is a dangerous place and one that will challenge our characters. They come out the other side and are not the same." But it is a Sith temple right? "This place would be well liked by the Sith, I'll say that much," Filoni added.
Judging by the trailer, Ezra will run into Darth Maul at the ancient temple, who tells the young Jedi: "You seek knowledge. Call me old master." Darth Maul will tempt Ezra to give in to dark temptations.
