The Super Bowl 50 game between the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos will take place on 7 February at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Coldplay will perform on stage at the NFL Super Bowl's half-time show that is estimated to air around 8pm EST.

Fans can stream the event live online at CBS Sports. Live coverage is also available on the National Football League's (NFL) website.

Beyonce is expected to join the band for a performance of their new single Hymn For The Weekend. Bruno Mars, Bono, Missy Elliot, Sir Paul McCartney and Katy Perry are also expected to appear.

"We called the right guests, so we know that we have great people joining us," Coldplay's lead singer, Chris Martin, said during the Pepsi Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show press conference.

The band's drummer Will Champion revealed that their halftime show is inspired by one of their favourite music festivals, Glastonbury. He said: "It's full of color and pageantry and it's an amazing sort of spiritual home of music. We wanted to bring that vibe to the Super Bowl halftime show. We can't compete in terms of amazing dance routines and all that, so we have to try and do what comes naturally to us, which is to try and provide a little fun and great atmosphere for people to come together."
