Swift announced 'Patient Zero' on 22 September and said the single would be released on 25 September.

That border claim does not match available official figures when read literally. US Border Patrol recorded 6,072 apprehensions between ports of entry at the Southwest border in June 2025. July recorded 4,601 and August recorded 6,321.
