All the latest football transfer rumours from Chelsea. Andre Villas-Boas is set to launch two big money moves for Valencia's Juan Mata and Luka Modric according to reports in the English and Spanish media.

Marca has claimed that Chelsea is ready to launch a fresh bid for Valencia winger Juan Mata.

It was believed that Arsenal were the favourites to sign the player but speaking at the weekend Arsene Wenger ruled his club out of the running for the Spanish star and Chelsea are now ready to show their hand in a potential transfer deal.

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas is said to be keen to land the creative midfielder and is prepared to match the valuation for the player according to the Spanish newspaper. Marca also claims that Valencia rebuffed an offer of £21m last week for the player but Chelsea re keen to negotiate the price with the Spanish club.

It has also been reported by Sky Sports that Fernando Torres will be used to help convince his Spanish team mate that his future lays at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea is set to launch one final offer for Tottenham star Luka Modric the Daily Mail reports.

Luka Modric will sit out of Tottenham's Europa League clash with Hearts fuelling speculation that Harry Redknapp has been convinced to allow the player to move to Chelsea. Chelsea re said to be ready to up their offer for the player, an offer that included cash plus Yossi Benayoun. Andre Villas Boas is said to now be ready to offer Chelsea the same £27m offer but adding Salomon Kalou and Yossi Benayoun to the deal.

'I don't know where it's at and Daniel (Levy) has said all along that he is not going to sell Luka so that is probably it as far as I know,", Redknapp said, speaking ahead of the Hearts clash

'There is no sign of him going. If he doesn't go it's an area we need to strengthen and we have one or two irons in the fire," Redknapp continued.

It has also been revealed by the Daily Express. The newspaper says it can 'exclusively reveal' that Luka Modric could be on the verge of quitting Tottenham for Chelsea.

The newspaper has said that Harry Redknapp is ready to allow Luka Modric to leave the club as long as Chelsea offer him both Salomon Kalou and Yossi Benayoun plus cash for the talented Croatian.

It is believed that Andre Villas-Boas is ready to offer Redknapp the deal he wants to land his man however the sticking point of the transfer could still be Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy's insistence that Modric will not be sold this summer.
