Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is expected to deliver her concession speech on 9 November at 10:30am EST/1530 GMT. Clinton, who lost to Republican Donald Trump during the presidential election held on 8 November, is scheduled to appear at the New Yorker Hotel's Grand Ballroom in New York City.

Both Clinton and outgoing President Barack Obama congratulated Trump on his victory.

Trump's campaign manager Kellyanne Conway said in an interview that the two rivals had already spoken on 8 November.

Conway explained that Clinton's top aide Huma Abedin called her late on Wednesday and connected Clinton with Trump and the two had "a very gracious exchange".

Trump has won at least 279 electoral colleges vote to Clinton's 228. A few state results have yet to be declared.
