Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is the man of big games. Recently, he revealed that he doesn't let his mother watch those crucial matches. His recent interview with Piers Morgan explored the hidden facets of CR7's life. There, he revealed a few things that his fans never knew before.

It has been widely reported that Ronaldo broke into tears while talking about his late father. Another interesting fact that Ronaldo revealed is regarding his mother. He said that she gets too nervous while watching him play in big matches. The Juventus forward doesn't want his mom to worry too much. As a result, he imposed a ban on her from watching big games.

In a transcript shared by Mirror, the former Real Madrid and Manchester United star stated, "She gets so nervous, I don't understand why. She is not allowed now to watch big games. I get friends to stay with her and she goes for walks around the house. She fainted two times in the stadium."

Ronaldo also expressed his love for his mother by saying that he doesn't want to lose her and hence she is restricted from watching semi-finals and finals.

When it comes to big matches, Ronaldo's entire football career is full of those. There aren't many trophies that the Portuguese maestro hasn't won. Be it the Premier League or La Liga, Serie A, or the UEFA Champions League and even the FIFA Club World Cup; Ronaldo won it all at the club level.

Even at the international stage, CR7 has won the European Championship in 2015 and the 2019 UEFA Nations League with his country, Portugal. This clearly shows the numerous occasions that CR7 had been an integral part of big games. This only means that his mother also had to go through a lot of nervous moments.

His effectiveness along with tremendous versatility landed him 5 Ballon d'Or trophies. In the interview, Ronaldo also claimed to deserve more Ballon d'Or titles than his on-pitch rival, Lionel Messi. However, his ambitions have never come in the way of his relationship with the Argentine star, Ronaldo confirms. He admits that he and Messi both pushed each other to perform better and that helped them become what they are today. Ronaldo also went on to claim that he doesn't chase records, but it's the records that chase him.
