At her 13 July show in Brooklyn, New York, Grande went a step further, singing, 'Wrote some songs about Ricky, we always find our way back.'

The latest version, 'I'm tryna make him my last', was more explicit in its suggestion of permanence, prompting loud cheers from the London crowd and enthusiastic reactions from her backup dancers.

Still, the lyric does not confirm that Grande and Alvarez are engaged or planning a wedding. It could simply have been a playful ad-lib or a personal moment added for the tour finale.
