Bruno Mars has jokingly declared he needs to 'get' Karol G back after footage showed Drake dancing with the Colombian singer during her Houston concert, calling her his 'latina crush' in a playful Instagram post.

Mars shared his reaction on Monday, 28 September, after Drake made a surprise appearance at Karol G's show at Reliant Stadium the previous night. His post turned the viral concert moment into a light-hearted exchange between three major music stars.

'When you see Drake dancing with your latina crush in 4k,' the 'Risk It All' singer wrote alongside a photo of himself looking sternly out of an aeroplane window. He then addressed both artists directly, adding: 'Respond to me asap!! I have to get her back! I must get her back! I will get her back!'

Mars' post was a joking response to footage of Drake and Karol G performing together. His 'crush' comment does not establish a romantic relationship between him and Karol G.

Drake Joins Karol G in Houston

Drake surprised fans when he appeared during Karol G's Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour show in Houston on Sunday, 27 September.

The pair performed 'Ahí' together live for the first time, with Drake then staying on stage to perform 'Janice STFU' and 'One Dance'. Videos showed Karol G dancing alongside Drake during the performance, quickly turning the moment into a social media talking point.

Their collaboration 'Ahí' reached No. 44 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Hot Latin Songs chart in August. Drake had also previously appeared at Karol G's Toronto show in July.

The Houston concert was part of Karol G's Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour, her 2026 stadium tour, which began in July before the release of her latest album, No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto.

Released in June 2025, Tropicoqueta debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and topped Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart for two weeks. The tour launched in July with shows in Chicago before continuing across the US and Canada.

Following Houston, Karol G is scheduled to perform in Miami on 2 and 3 October, Tampa on 9 October and Arlington on 15 October. The Houston show also showcased her wider catalogue, incorporating Latin genres including bachata, merengue and ranchera, alongside a Tejano-inspired cumbia.

Mars and Karol G also have a musical connection through 'Still', which they performed together at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles in August. Footage from the performance was later incorporated into the song's official music video. The song 'Still' landed at No. 41 on the Billboard Hot 100.
