LEGO Downton Abbey
LEGO 21373 Downton Abbey allows fans to own a replica of the iconic Highclere Castle LEGO

'Downton Abbey' fans will soon be able to build their own brick version of Highclere Castle at home, with new LEGO Ideas set 21373 recreating the TV estate in 4,711 pieces and 13 minifigures.

The set, which brings the fictional Crawley family home to life in bricks, is one of LEGO's major licensed releases for 2026. It is based on Highclere Castle, the real Hampshire estate that serves as the principal filming location for 'Downton Abbey', and comes with 13 minifigures representing characters from the series.

LEGO Turns Highclere Castle Into a 'Downton Abbey' Set

Rather than simply recreating the exterior of the famous building, LEGO 21373 has been designed to give fans a look inside the world of 'Downton Abbey'.

The model features several recognisable rooms, including the main hall, dining room and library, while the lower section contains the kitchen, servants' hall and Mr Carson's office. The upper portion of the building can be removed, allowing builders to see and access the interior spaces.

The model is intended to work both as a 'Downton Abbey' display piece and as a miniature recreation of Highclere Castle itself. The finished set measures more than 12 inches (30cm) high, 17.5 inches (44cm) wide and 6.5 inches (16cm) deep. With 4,711 pieces, it is aimed at adult builders and collectors, carrying an 18+ recommendation.

13 'Downton Abbey' Characters Join the Build

The characters are a major part of the set, with 13 minifigures included. The line-up features members of the Crawley family alongside some of the show's best-known servants. Among them are the Dowager Countess, Lord Grantham, Lady Grantham, Lady Mary, Lady Edith and Tom Branson.

The servants represented in the set include Mr Carson, Mrs Hughes, Mr Bates, Thomas Barrow, Mrs Patmore, Anna Bates and Daisy Parker. Together, the figures reflect the ensemble cast that helped make 'Downton Abbey' one of television's most successful period dramas.

The set also includes a small garden scene featuring a cedar tree and bench, adding another recognisable detail to the estate.

From Fan Design to Official LEGO Set

The model has its roots in the LEGO Ideas programme, where fan-created designs can be submitted and supported by the community before being considered for production.

The original 'Downton Abbey: Highclere Castle' project was created by Czech LEGO fan Sebastian Veselka, known online as BRO3. His design was submitted to LEGO Ideas in 2024 and eventually gained the required community support before being selected for development as an official set.

The finished LEGO version retains the central concept of recreating Highclere Castle while expanding the model to more than 4,700 pieces. The set is also more substantial than the original fan design, which contained around 2,750 pieces.

The official version has been expanded and refined into a large-scale collector's model while retaining the country-house setting that made the original proposal stand out.

When Does LEGO 21373 'Downton Abbey' Go on Sale?

LEGO 21373 'Downton Abbey' is scheduled for release in October 2026. LEGO Insiders will have early access from 1 October, before the set goes on general sale on 4 October. Its listed retail price is $349.99 in the US and £269.99 in the UK.

For 'Downton Abbey' fans, the appeal extends beyond the television series itself. Highclere Castle is a real historic building, and the LEGO model allows collectors to display a miniature version of the estate without needing the full-size grandeur of the Hampshire landmark.

With its large piece count, detailed interiors and 13-character line-up, LEGO 21373 is positioned as a substantial new way for fans to revisit the world of the Crawleys, one brick at a time.
