Police want to speak to the man with Carlie Johnson in CCTV footage outside the XOYO club near Old Street station

Essex Police has released an image showing missing woman Carlie Johnson after she failed to return to Chelmsford after a day out in London. Johnson has been missing since the early hours of Saturday 17 October. She was due to catch a train back to Chelmsford from Liverpool Street station on Friday 16 October but instead is believed to have stayed in the capital.

The 28-year-old was caught leaving the XOYO club near Old Street, east London, in the early hours of 17 October morning and police are keen to talk to the man she was seen outside the club with or anyone who has information that could lead to her whereabouts.

A police statement read: "We are releasing a CCTV image of the 28-year-old woman in the company of a man outside the XOYO club in Cowper Street, near Old Street station in the city. Officers want to trace this man as he may be able to help piece together the missing person's movements after this image was captured at 4.12am on Saturday, October 17."

Carlie is described as white, 5ft 8in tall, with very long straight brown hair. She was wearing a long black coat, jacket, sleeveless cream blouse, short black skirt with gold buttons down the side, tights and black high heels. She may also have had flat shoes with her.

The man in the CCTV image or anyone who knows who he is should contact police at Chelmsford on 101. Equally anyone who has any information about where Carlie may be should also get in touch.
