Pop star Olivia Rodrigo has partnered with Taco Bell to launch a limited‑edition drink, You Seem Pretty Pink for a Baja Blast, which will debut at her all‑women music festival in Irvine, California, on Saturday, 29 August.

The collaboration brings together the three‑time Grammy Award winner's charitable live event with a pink twist on the fast‑food chain's signature Mountain Dew Baja Blast, blending tart pink lemonade with tropical lime.

The announcement comes as Rodrigo prepares to host Daisy Chain Fields, a one‑day festival whose proceeds will support organisations advocating for women and girls, including the Center for Reproductive Justice and the Black Mamas Matter Alliance.

Taco Bell is serving as an official partner for the festival, integrating interactive brand spaces alongside the early debut of the pink Baja Blast. The partnership also marks the continued promotion of Rodrigo's June studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love.

From Drive-Thru Rituals to Pink Baja Blast

The 23‑year‑old singer‑songwriter said the drink concept stems from a long‑standing personal routine and a well‑documented fondness for the fast‑food chain.

In an earlier interview with Cosmopolitan, Rodrigo said that meeting friends in drive‑thru car parks to listen to new albums from start to finish was a staple ritual throughout her teenage years.

She described the idea of fans drinking a Baja Blast while listening to her own music as an ideal scenario.

'One of my favourite drinks ever is a Mountain Dew Baja Blast, so I genuinely cannot believe You Seem Pretty Pink for a Baja Blast is real,' Rodrigo said in an official statement. She said she was eager for supporters to try the drink at the festival and at select café locations.

Taco Bell chief marketing officer Luis Restrepo said the collaboration was intended to build a broader creative world around shared fandom rather than simply releasing a standard promotional drink.

The Daisy Chain Fields festival in Irvine features an all‑female line‑up including Chappell Roan, Doechii and Bikini Kill. All proceeds from the event are allocated to ten non‑profit partner organisations.

Social media discussion had already appeared on platforms such as Reddit before the official announcement, as fans speculated about the pink Baja Blast ahead of corporate confirmation of the tie‑up.

National Rollout Schedule and Pricing

Before reaching standard restaurant counters, the drink will first appear at selected Live Más Café locations in Southern California, Las Vegas, Dallas and Houston. Customers at those concept restaurants can order an exclusive frozen Baja Blast Freeze for $3.89, served in custom‑branded cups with complimentary sticker packs available while supplies last.

PepsiCo Global Away from Home chief marketing officer Scott Finlow said reworking the familiar lime soda gave the company a chance to express Rodrigo's creativity through a new flavour profile. The festival site in Irvine will include dedicated activations and photo installations linked to the new drink.

A wider national rollout is scheduled for Thursday, 24 September, across Taco Bell restaurants in the United States, where standard drink sizes will range from $2.99 for a small to $3.39 for a large.

Taco Bell Rewards members will also have access to a dedicated digital drop on 29 September featuring an exclusive picnic blanket, before Canadian branches add the drink to menus on 1 October.
