Prince William and Kate Middleton have attended their last engagement of the royal tour in Canberra, Australia on Thursday evening.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended a reception hosted by Governor General Peter Cosgrove and Lady Cosgrove at Government House in Canberra to round off their 19-day tour of New Zealand and Australia.

Kate marked the end of her first royal tour since becoming a mum with a dazzling style statement.

The 32-year-old Duchess graced the event by wearing an all-white cocktail dress by Lela Rose while William wore his tailored navy suit and a blue tie.

The elegant dress featured broad lattice work on the sleeves and around the waist. Kate completed her sophisticated look with a pair of diamond drop earrings, diamond bracelet and a wrist watch.

She teamed her ensemble with black court heels and matching clutch. Kate did her hair in a loose bun that added to the regal look of the Duchess.

The royal couple, who left their nine-month-old son Prince George with his nanny at the Government House to attend the reception, were greeted by other dignitaries present at the event including Australia's former soccer player Harry Kewell and his wife Sheree Murphy.

William and Kate have spent more than a week visiting Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and the iconic landmark of Uluru. The royal family will leave Australia and fly back home tomorrow.
