RAYE has confirmed she is working on a mystery project with Michael B. Jordan but has warned fans she cannot reveal what they have been working on yet.

The 'Where Is My Husband!' singer also addressed the dating rumours surrounding her and Jordan after they were spotted together at Six Flags Magic Mountain, clarifying that they are 'just friends'.

While on the red carpet at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) on Sunday, 27 September, RAYE teased the mystery project she is working on with Jordan.

Speaking to Extra, she was asked about the collaboration. Rather than disclose any details, she admitted: 'I'm technically not allowed to talk about it because I might get in trouble.'

RAYE offered another brief tease during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, confirming that she and Jordan have been 'working on some things' while keeping the nature of their collaboration under wraps.

The mystery project comes after RAYE and Jordan were linked by fans following their Six Flags Magic Mountain outing in California.

The pair were spotted riding roller coasters together on 7 August, with fan-captured photos and video quickly circulating online. Their appearance fuelled speculation that the singer and Oscar-winning actor could be romantically involved.

RAYE has now directly addressed the rumours. 'No, we're just friends who like roller coasters,' she told Extra when asked about the speculation. She gave a similar response to Entertainment Tonight, describing Jordan as a 'lovely friend' and reinforcing that the pair are friends, rather than confirming a romantic relationship.

While RAYE has confirmed that there is a professional collaboration, she has not revealed what the project involves.

Earlier reports provided some possible context. TMZ reported in August that sources familiar with the situation said RAYE was working on the soundtrack for a film project involving Jordan. The report also said their Six Flags outing was connected to their work together.

However, RAYE has not publicly confirmed that the mystery project is a soundtrack, meaning the exact nature of the collaboration remains undisclosed. Jordan is also involved in several upcoming film projects. RAYE is also expanding beyond music, making her feature-film debut in the crime thriller Lineage, directed by Yann Demange.

RAYE also addressed her plans for her next album, saying she does not want to make another record until she finds love.

'I'm really excited, but also not forcing that chapter,' she said. 'It just needs to find you naturally, you know, and they do say love finds you when you stop looking. So, I'm just out here doing my work, getting it done, getting sleep when I can.'
