An unofficial version of Cydia content is now available through a newly- launched Cydia Online website with direct links to Cydia packages, repos and other third-party apps. As the website has been launched without Saurik's consent or licence, it could actually lead to a trademark dispute with the original Cydia creator.
Saurik has reportedly complained about the website's name in the official Reddit thread. SwiftCracker, the creator of the Cydia Online website, is yet to respond to the comment on Reddit.
Interested users can surf through numerous repos while looking for their favourite apps and tweaks or get useful info about new tweaks or add a third-party repo to Cydia source, reports iDownloadBlog.
Although the online search tool embedded with the website appears to be relatively faster than the Cydia app itself, it is allegedly error-prone and buggy at times. Not to mention, users can enjoy ad-free access to their favourite Cydia apps and tweaks via Cydia Online, a feat which was not possible with the original Cydia Store.
With the website still in a nascent stage, we can expect it to undergo several improvements and name changes, following user feedback and the trademark implication.
