'I Was Supposed to Have My Happy Family' Great Wolf Lodge Mum's Words After Allegedly Killing Husband and Son
Police say Harrison was denied bail after being charged over the deaths of her husband and three-year-old son at the Pennsylvania resort

Metallica Rose Harrison, 27, told emergency medical workers she was supposed to have her 'happy family' after her husband and three-year-old son were found dead at Great Wolf Lodge in Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains, according to a police affidavit.
Harrison faces two counts of criminal homicide following the discovery on 12 October at the resort in Scotrun. Police said she called emergency services that afternoon, and responding officers found her injured and her husband and son dead inside the family's room.
What Harrison Told 911 and Police
Harrison called the Monroe County Control Center, which handles emergency calls, at about 3.13pm on 12 October. According to police, she expressed suicidal intent and said her husband and son were 'already gone in the bed'.
Officers found Harrison with injuries and arranged for her to be taken to hospital. During treatment, she spoke about her hopes for her family, according to the affidavit.
'It wasn't supposed to end like this. I was supposed to have my happy family. That's what I envisioned since I was a child,' she allegedly told emergency personnel.
A detective later attempted to question Harrison at hospital, but she declined to discuss the incident, according to the criminal complaint. Her remarks to emergency personnel and the subsequent attempt to interview her were separate parts of the account recorded by investigators.
The statement forms part of investigators' account of the emergency response. Authorities have not publicly established a motive for the alleged killings.
What Investigators Found in Room 2030
Police found Harrison's husband, Charles Harrison, and their three-year-old son dead inside Room 2030. Both had sustained stab wounds, according to the criminal complaint.
Investigators recovered two knives from the bathroom: a large butcher-style knife on the floor and a smaller knife in the sink. Resort staff told police the knives were not the type kept at the property.
The child is identified by his initials in the complaint. Police investigated the deaths with assistance from the Monroe County District Attorney's Office and the county coroner.
Authorities described the case as an isolated domestic tragedy and said there was no threat to the wider community.
The Family's Stay at the Poconos Resort
The family checked into Great Wolf Lodge on 21 September and extended their reservation on 5 October, according to the affidavit.
The resort in Scotrun is known for its indoor water park and family accommodation. Police found the family in their room after responding to Harrison's emergency call on 12 October.
Great Wolf Lodge said it was deeply saddened by the incident and was cooperating with investigators.
Harrison is from Towanda, a town in Bradford County in north-eastern Pennsylvania. The family's stay at the resort and the circumstances preceding the deaths form part of the ongoing investigation.
Harrison Denied Bail After Arraignment
Pocono Township police said Harrison was arraigned on 13 October before Magisterial District Judge Daniel Kresge on two counts of criminal homicide.
Bail was denied, and she was taken to Monroe County Correctional Facility to await a preliminary hearing, according to an updated police notice published on 14 October.
The update followed the department's initial announcement of the charges, which had described her as awaiting arraignment.
The charges are allegations, and Harrison is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. The investigation remains ongoing.
