Texas Mum Holly Flores Accused of Stabbing Husband in Head as Two Children Found With Chest Wounds
Texas mother arrested after husband and two young children found with stab wounds

Holly Leeann Flores, 37, has been arrested after her husband and two young children were found with stab wounds at their Northlake home, according to police. She faces preliminary charges including two counts of attempted capital murder.
Officers responded to the 1200 block of Daylily Drive at about 4.20am on Tuesday, 6 October, after a 34-year-old man reported that his wife had a knife and had stabbed him. Police detained Flores and found the injured children during a protective sweep of the property.
Holly Flores Accused of Attacking Husband and Two Children
Northlake Police said the man had suffered injuries to his head. Inside the home, officers found a three-year-old girl and a 10-month-old boy with stab wounds to their chests.
All three were taken to a Fort Worth hospital. Chief Robert Crawford said the husband and children were expected to survive, although detailed information about their medical conditions was not released in the initial police updates.
That prognosis was the chief's assessment at the time of his statement. Authorities had not announced that the three had been discharged or provided further details about their treatment.
Flores was taken to a Denton hospital for observation and possible injuries. She was treated and released before being booked into the Denton County Jail, according to the police account.
The department said the preliminary charges included two counts of attempted capital murder and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The allegations have not been tested in court.
Officers Had Previously Attended the Address Five Times Since March
Crawford said officers had been called to the residence about five times since March, mostly over welfare concerns. He said those calls came from the home itself rather than neighbours.
The previous visits have attracted attention following Tuesday's incident, but police have not publicly explained them in detail or established how they relate to the current investigation.
The description of those calls as welfare concerns does not establish that they involved violence. Authorities have not disclosed information supporting a diagnosis or other explanation for the alleged attack.
Investigators are examining the circumstances leading to the emergency call and what happened inside the property. Police have not publicly disclosed a motive.
The chief also discussed the emotional toll of responding to distressing incidents, describing the case as traumatic. His comments concerned the experience of officers attending such scenes, rather than a finding about Flores' state of mind.
Preliminary Charges Follow Hospital Treatment
The police account separates the immediate response at the house from Flores' subsequent hospital treatment and booking. Officers first secured the scene and arranged care for the injured family members before the investigation continued.
The attempted-capital-murder allegations concern the two young children, while the aggravated-assault allegation concerns the husband. The preliminary charges set out investigators' allegations; they do not establish criminal responsibility.
No further account from Flores addressing the allegations was included in the initial reporting. The available police updates also did not explain the precise sequence of events before officers arrived.
Separate Waxahachie Case Has No Reported Connection
Flores' arrest came days after another Texas mother, Colleen Nichole Lemmon, 42, was charged with two counts of capital murder following the deaths of her sons in Waxahachie.
Authorities responded to an emergency call at a home on Big Sky Drive on Thursday, 1 October. Christopher Scott Pitre, 21, was found dead at the scene, while a 15-year-old boy was critically injured and later died in hospital.
Lemmon is accused of shooting both sons. Those allegations are part of a separate criminal case and have not been proven by a conviction.
Authorities have reported no connection between the Waxahachie deaths and the Northlake investigation. In Flores' case, police said the injured husband and children were expected to survive.
Northlake detectives are continuing to investigate the alleged stabbings. Further information about the circumstances, the family members' conditions and the progression of the preliminary charges had not been provided in the initial updates.
