Frankie
Frankie Cocozza was today kicked off of X Factor; the young ‘rebel’ has reportedly broken a “Golden rule” which has left him out of the competition. ITV

Producers have issued a statement where they have confirmed that Frankie Cocozza has left the X Factor, rumour has it that Johnny Robinson or The Risk will return this weekend.

A source has told Sky that Frankie has been removed from The X Factor following allegations of drug abuse whilst on the show.

Cocozza said: "I'd like to apologise to Gary, my fellow contestants and everyone who has voted for me, but, as of today, I will no longer be in The X Factor. My life during the show has gone out of control and my behaviour off stage has over-stepped the rules of the competition. I no longer deserve my place in the show, so I am therefore leaving. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me."

An X Factor spokesperson said: "Frankie is leaving the show today after breaking competition rules. He is going to take some time out before continuing his career as a singer. We wish him all the best for his future."

Frankie has been criticised since mentor, Gary Barlow chose him for the live shows.

The show has however refused to give the exact reason as to why Frankie left. Speculation is rife that either Johnny Robinson or The Risk will be reinstated in the competition.

More information will follow tomorrow when we will be told exactly what rules Frankie broke.
