The sudden dismissal of Aubrey Laitsch has ignited a fierce debate over privacy and corporate tactics within conservative circles. Following claims by Candace Owens regarding invasive surveillance, the former staffer is now speaking out about the intimidation she allegedly faced.

Months following the killing of Charlie Kirk, Candace Owens persists in her criticisms of Erika Kirk and TPUSA. The media figure recently shared footage on X of Aubrey Laitsch, a staffer who had been previously dismissed by the organisation. She stated: 'One of the fired employees from Turning Point USA speaks out about the organisation's new direction! Aubrey Laitsch worked for TPUSA and Andrew Kolvet for 4 years. Here is why she was fired...'

Owens Persists with Allegations Against Erika Kirk and TPUSA

The story took a more serious turn this morning, 10 February, when Owens shared fresh footage alleging surveillance. Owens used X to post a video from Laitsch, claiming Turning Point USA dispatched someone to 'photograph Aubrey's vehicle and house.' In her post, Owens highlights that the person behind the camera had no legal files to hand over. He was merely spotted recording photos of her transport and place.

In the original post, Laitsch mentions that the footage was 'posted for the record.' She explained in her caption that earlier today, an individual—whose name and vehicle registration she kept private as a courtesy—appeared outside her house and was caught taking pictures of the premises. In particular, he filmed the address sign and their number plates. She added, 'We are aware of the situation and documenting everything accordingly.'

As these allegations bring her into the national spotlight, many are left wondering about the woman at the centre of the storm.

Who is Aubrey Laitsch

Aubrey Laitsch previously served as the public relations manager for TPUSA. Her LinkedIn profile indicates that she started with the nonprofit in August 2021, initially hired as an associate producer. Over time, she moved into a role as a PR specialist and eventually took over management of the department.

Following her exit from TPUSA, she took up a position as a senior communication manager at ProActive Strategies. During her video statement, Laitsch clarified that she was on the books at ATK Media—a company started by TPUSA's own Andrew Kolvet—when her sacking occurred.

Before detailing her sacking, Laitsch reflected on her time with Turning Point USA and the chaotic period following Charlie Kirk's killing. She claimed her bosses dismissed her for speaking poorly of the group and Erika Kirk. Specifically, she mentioned a strange report involving an Uber driver's tip-off, though she flatly denied these accusations in her footage.

The Sacking Incident

On Thursday, 5 February, she released a clip explaining how Charlie's original goals for the group have supposedly been warped since Erika assumed control following his death.

She claimed she was summoned to a briefing with senior Turning Point USA leaders, which included representative Andrew Kolvet. During the discussion, she claimed she was told that an Uber driver had informed a board member about his daughter's friendship with a staffer who disliked Erika. This employee was allegedly Laitsch. She was sacked immediately.

Laitsch said she was stunned by the news, as she had known Erika since 2013 and harboured no ill will toward her when the supposed incident took place. 'We were doing pageants around the same time as one another. She was in the Miss USA organisation, and I was in the Miss United States organisation, and we happened to cross paths at an event,' she said.

Questioning the Official Account of Kirk's Death

Laitsch went on to mention that she had 'known Erika for quite some time.' She claimed that any suggestion she disliked her does 'not align whatsoever' with the months of October and November, when the Uber report supposedly surfaced.

Later in the footage, she admitted that recording the statement was 'heartbreaking,' but felt she 'owed it to Charlie' and believed it was what he would have expected of her. Regarding her dismissal, Laitsch shared a 'gut feeling' that she was let go because she is 'questioning the narrative of what happened' to her mentor and CEO, Charlie Kirk, on the day he was killed.

'What is being told to us in the mainstream media just really doesn't add up to me,' she explained, citing her doubts as the probable reason for her sudden exit from the organisation.
