Perrie Edwards is not one to shy away from expressing her feelings when it comes to her ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik and his relationship with model Gigi Hadid. An uncensored version of the songstress's latest track Shout Out To My Ex recently surfaced and the harsh lyrics seem to mock Malik and Hadid.

Considering this is not the first time that the 23-year-old singer has called out on her former boyfriend, it appears that Malik and his model girlfriend have had enough of the drama.

"[Zayn's] been down playing it to Gigi and telling her not to give it any energy or thought, and that it just comes from a place of jealousy," a source told HollywoodLife shedding light on the situation.

"Zayn has heard the original lyrics and was surprised with how harsh they were. He understands that Perrie is free to vent and write about whatever and whomever she wants, but obviously he isn't a fan of the song," the source added.

Little Mix's popular track Shout Out To My Ex was released in October, but according to reports the unedited version was leaked on 14 November. The controversial lyrics opened with, "Heard he been f*****g some model chick. Yeah that s**t hurt I'll admit. But f**k that boy I'm over it."

However, the final version had a more toned down sense as it read, "Heard he in love with some other chick. Yeah yeah, that hurt me, I'll admit."

Although the leaked lyrics were not a part of the final cut, the harsh words are already stirring controversy. "Gigi wishes Perrie would just move on and leave her and Zayn alone. She thinks the song and the lyrics are immature," the gossip website quoted a source as saying.

The Pillowtalk singer started dating the Victoria's Secret model within months of breaking up with Edwards in August 2015. Following the split, the Little Mix singer made a surprising revelation that Malik called it quits on their engagement via a text message.
