D4vd Case Update: Celeste Rivas Confirmed to be Dismembered Inside Cadaver Bags — PI Infuriated As No Charges Have Been Filed
Court documents confirm dismemberment and storage in Tesla linked to singer D4vd.

A shocking and gruesome detail was uncovered in unsealed court documents about the case of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, whose severely decomposed remains were found in the front trunk of a Tesla on 8 September 2025 at a Los Angeles impound lot. Rivas had been missing for a year when her remains were discovered.
The discovery of her body and the investigation were prompted by a foul smell emanating from the vehicle, which the impound lot employee reported.
The case was closely associated with a rising singer and rapper, D4vd, who gained popularity from his song Here With Me, as the black 2023 Tesla Model Y is registered under the singer, whose real name is David Anthony Burke.

Now, newly uncovered and unsealed court documents confirm that the teenager was indeed dismembered and placed inside two cadaver bags before being stored in the front trunk of D4vd's Tesla. The information was released nearly six months after the discovery, with no charges filed and no arrests made — a delay that has sparked outrage.
Private investigator Steve Fischer, who was hired by the owners of D4vd's rented mansion to look into the case, has been a vocal advocate for justice for Rivas is infuriated and has expressed frustration over the lack of progress.
Rivas Confirmed to be Dismembered and Placed Inside Cadaver Bags
In the newly uncovered court record shared by Reddit sleuth u/Justheretoinvestigat, it shows shocking and gruesome details about the case.
According to the report of Los Angeles Magazine, the court documents were filed under seal in LA, but became public following the petition of Burked's family to the subpoena of the Los Angeles County grand jury for them to appeal in court, a writ that was later denied in a Texas court. Because the related writ proceedings in Texas were not sealed, portions of the California filings were accessible through the Texas appellate docket.

According to the court document, Rivas was severely decomposed when found in the Tesla truck and was inside two cadaver bags. When opened, the teenager's decomposed head and torso were found in the first one, while her other severed body parts were inside a second bag beneath it.
Furthermore, the filing states that D4vd has been identified as the 'target' of the grand jury investigation and may be involved in one count of murder under California Penal Code section 187(a). No indictment has been announced, and grand jury proceedings remain ongoing.
PI Infuriated by the Lack of Progress Nearly Six Months After Rivas' Discovery
With the recently resurfaced court document, private investigator Steve Fischer, who was hired to examine D4vd's rented Hollywood Hills mansion and has since been a vocal advocate for justice for Rivas, is infuriated and has expressed frustration over the lack of progress nearly six months after the discovery of the teenager's remains.
He turned to X, saying Rivas 'deserved better,' adding, 'It's infuriating that we are approaching six months and no charges have been filed in her murder. If the evidence hasn't been secured by now, what exactly is happening? Is this a blown investigation?'
#CelesteRivasHernandez deserves better.

It’s infuriating that we are approaching six months and no charges have been filed in her murder. If the evidence hasn’t been secured by now, what exactly is happening? Is this a blown investigation?
We now know these monsters sawed off…
Fischer also recalled what the court document's details about Rivas' remains, calling the suspects 'monsters' who 'sawed off Celeste's arms and legs.' Adding, 'A vicious, sick group of people brutally hacked her arms and legs off her body. Was she alive when they started?'
'In my professional opinion, there is no way one person did this alone, whether participating directly or acting as an accessory. Yet only one individual is named as a target in the court filings,' he added. Fischer also pointed out the fact that the suspects 'went to the extent of purchasing cadaver bags.'
The PI then called out D4vd's close friend, Neo Langston, who was previously arrested and appeared before the grand jury. He said, 'Like you, Neo Christopher Langston. You knew. I've seen family members publicly defend him and threaten lawsuits against anyone who names him.'
He then challenged the Twitch streamer to sue him 'I beg you, please sue me. Give me subpoena power. Give me the power of discovery because that may be the only way the truth comes out. I beg of you, file that defamation suit.' Fischer also questioned: 'How do people like David, Neo, and Aysia live with themselves?'
PI Called Out Law Enforcement Over the Lack of Progress of the Case
Fischer added, 'Six months. No charges. No press conference.' Furthermore, he claims that the Los Angeles Police Department and the District Attorney's Office misled the public by saying the autopsy and investigative findings were sealed only for detectives to review first, insisting it wasn't to limit transparency, and claimed that the authorities already had the information and that the Medical Examiner's result was sealed.
He also criticised another statement suggesting the only possible charge was concealment of a body, arguing that officials made that claim despite knowing the victim had been dismembered.
Fischer asked the law enforcement to 'do your sworn duty, or admit the case was failed,' he continued, 'If they do not have enough evidence to charge those responsible, then they need to say that plainly. Admit that after nearly six months, the investigation has not produced sufficient evidence to charge David Anthony Burke or anyone else who participated or was an accessory,' he said.
He added, 'And still, six months later, there are no charges. No accountability. Silence. Sealed records.'
Fischer also fearlessly challenged the authorities: 'Threaten me with contempt all you want. I will proudly take that contempt charge in the pursuit of justice for Celeste Rivas Hernandez,' and concluded the statement encouraging everyone to let law enforcement know that 'we are mad and this is not acceptable. And I wish her family would do the same.'
