The unfolding case surrounding the death of teenager Celeste Rivas has taken another turn, with Twitch streamer Neo Langston remaining silent after appearing before a Los Angeles grand jury. Langston, a close friend of singer and rapper D4vd, was filmed leaving the courthouse, refusing to answer questions about his testimony.

The development comes amid growing speculation online about whether D4vd's inner circle is cooperating with investigators. Rivas' death, discovered in harrowing circumstances last year, continues to grip public attention as authorities press forward with the murder investigation.

Langston's Arrest and Extradition

Langston was arrested on 22 January 2026 by the Helena Police Department at his mother's residence on Knight Street in Montana on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department Robbery-Homicide Division. The arrest followed a felony warrant for his failure to appear as a witness before a grand jury investigating Rivas' death.

Following extradition, he was detained at the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center and held on a $60,000 (approximately £44,000) bond. Reports suggest he has since secured his release from custody.

Discovery of Rivas' Remains

On 8 September 2025, the severely decomposed remains of 15-year-old Rivaswere found inside the boot of a Tesla in a Los Angeles impound lot. Staff reportedly noticed a foul smell before making the discovery, prompting a full investigation.

The vehicle was registered to D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, linking the case directly to the rising music star.

Langston Faces Grand Jury

Nearly five months after Rivas' remains were found, Langston, known online as NeoTheAsian, has appeared before the grand jury, according to TMZ. His testimony reportedly lasted only 30 to 40 minutes, despite Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Beth Silverman's reputation for aggressive questioning.

This marked the first public sighting of Langston since his arrest.

Silent Exit from Courthouse

A video published by TMZ shows Langston leaving the courthouse after his brief testimony. He was confronted with questions such as, 'Why are you being called to testify today?', followed by, 'How did everything go in there?', 'Do you think D4vd is innocent?', and 'Is there anything you want to tell the public about the D4vd case?'

Langston remained tight-lipped, walking away without comment. Deputy District Attorney Silverman also refrained from addressing the media about his appearance or providing updates on the case.

Online Speculation About D4vd's Friends

Following Langston's arrest and testimony, online speculation has grown that D4vd's close friends may be turning against him. Internet sleuths believe Langston's silence reflects his stance on Rivas' case.

The speculation stems from a comment on a YouTube video that some believe was posted by Langston's mother or another family member. The comment stated: 'Neo did not hide out with his mom. He lives with his mom. He was never served. He never drove the Tesla. He is not in a plea deal. He has nothing to hide. He was cooperating with the DA already, and the arrest is completely bogus. Nancy is Melinda Ducketting him.'

Alleged statement from Neo Langston's camp

Aysia Collins — previously alleged to be D4vd's girlfriend and speculated to be the uncooperative female witness — called for justice for Rivas. On TikTok, she replied 'agreed' to a comment demanding accountability.

When challenged by other users, Collins responded: 'Been saying I want justice for her but once again you guys only see what you want I guess.'

Case Developments and Indictment Speculation

Media outlets reported in November 2025 that D4vd had been identified as a suspect. On 29 December 2025, it was reported that he was 'likely' to face indictment in connection with Rivas' death. Despite this, no formal charges have been announced.

Private Investigator Steve Fischer, hired to examine D4vd's rented Hollywood Hills mansion, posted an update on X regarding D4vd's Tesla. He revealed that the vehicle had been collected from the impound lot and is under new ownership. Fischer said that he wouldn't be surprised if the vehicle were 'crushed.'

The private investigator also clarified that the Los Angeles Police Department held the Tesla for only 48 hours to process as evidence before returning it to the impound lot for retrieval.

Langston's grand jury appearance is the latest development in the case. However, Rivas' cause of death has yet to be revealed, and no recent reports confirm whether it has been determined.
