D4vd Should Face Lesser Charges 'For Now,' PI Says While Seeking Justice for Celeste Rivas

Rising singer and rapper D4vd, who has gained popularity over his song 'Here With Me' after it boomed on TikTok, should face lesser charges 'for now,' while seeking justice for the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, private investigator Steve Fischer suggests.

The 20-year-old singer, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, is closely linked to the death of Rivas, whose severely decomposed remains were found six months ago in the trunk of a Tesla at a Los Angeles impound lot on 8 September 2025. The remains had been placed in two cadaver bags, and the vehicle was registered under the singer's name.

Employees of the impound lot reported a foul smell emanating from the vehicle, prompting the discovery and the investigation of the teenager's death.

Aside from the fact that Rivas — who has been missing for more than a year — was found in D4vd's car, the singer and the teenager were reportedly in a relationship, as found by internet sleuths who were able to connect the dots, including matching tattoos, photographs together, and an old Twitch clip stream.

Now, half a year later, after she was found, no one has been arrested other than D4vd, who has been named as a 'target' by the Los Angeles grand jury that has convened to hear the evidence and testimonies regarding the death of Rivas.

D4vd Should Face Lesser Charges 'For Now'

Private investigator Steve Fischer, hired by the owner of the Hollywood Hills property that singer D4vd had been renting for approximately £15,700 ($20,000) per month, was tasked with determining whether the residence played any role in the teenager's murder. He has since become an advocate for justice for the 15-year-old and suggested that the singer should face 'lesser charges' for now.

On his X post, Fischer said, 'I have been vocal about my belief that if there is not yet enough evidence to charge D4vd with homicide they could start with lesser charges in the name of justice and then stack the homicide charge on top once they make the case.'

The private investigator proceeded to cite the California law which allows 'an adult who conceals a minor/runaway from their parent can be charged with child abduction,' he added, 'I do not believe David could use a defense that he didn't know she was a minor and a runaway.'

Fischer also cited the dates that Rivas was seen with the singer, such as in a video back in 2024, 'David and Celeste appeared in the "delete everything" video in January of 2024 before she first ran away. She was reported missing the first time on Feb 15, 2024 and last seen on Feb 14th.'

He also reminded the people closely following the case, saying that Rivas' teacher 'told the class that law enforcement had found her at a house in the Hollywood Hills? People knew who Celeste was hanging out with.'

Fischer revealed a critical breakthrough regarding the whereabouts of Celeste during her time at the Doheny residence. Fischer noted that following a formal request in October 2025, the LASD West Hollywood Sheriff's station confirmed the existence of investigative files containing witness and suspect interviews. 'In Nov they sent me a letter confirming these files did exist,' Fischer stated, noting that the trail has now shifted towards the Riverside Sheriff's Department and the LAPD, the primary investigating agencies.

'The fact there are investigative files means it's almost certain that law enforcement interviewed David and likely Celeste herself. Without a doubt, they would have informed David that Celeste was a minor and a reported missing person,' he added.

He said that since the singer knew Rivas was a runaway and a minor, D4vd can be charged with abduction. 'Once Celeste was back in his presence after that date, he's open to harboring a minor or abduction charges.'

PI Reveals D4vd Had Relationship with Another Minor

On his post, the private investigator also revealed that D4vd had a relationship with another minor while everything was ongoing with Rivas. He claims that he has a statement from the minor, but due to legal concerns, he did not reveal the name or any other details.

'I also have proof that he had an ongoing illegal relationship with another minor at the exact same time this was ongoing with Celeste. This proof includes a statement from the minor and dozens of photos that include the minor and David.'

'Yes, law enforcement is aware of this relationship. I'm also aware of a third minor. This is a pattern,' Fischer added.

He questioned: 'Why charges are not being filed for this pattern of abuse against minors is beyond logic to me. It's as if it's homicide or nothing. How about justice for all his victims and stopping this from happening to someone else?'

'We have to keep the pressure on. And it's time for more pressure,' he concluded his post.
