Marvel unveiled the first look of the new Netflix series Daredevil at the New York Comic Con today, 12 October.

The Daredevil TV series is set to debut on Netflix next year, and Charlie Cox will play the blind lawyer/superhero.

In the picture released by Marvel, Cox is seen both in the superhero suit and as Matthew Murdoch, the blind lawyer, who seeks a very different kind of justice on the streets as a masked vigilante.

Joining Cox in the Daredevil cast are Law and Order veteran Vincent D'Onofrio and Deborah Ann Woll from HBO's True Blood.

"Murdock sets up practice in his old neighborhood of Hell's Kitchen, New York where he now fights against injustice as a respected lawyer by day and masked vigilante at night."

Marvel's Daredevil is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix.
