A 23-year-old French influencer, Melisa Mireille Jeanine, has been arrested in Bali alongside two men for allegedly filming pornography, an act strictly prohibited under Indonesian law. The alleged adult content, reportedly featuring an Italian man dressed as a Gojek scooter driver, went viral online and prompted police intervention.

Bali, known for its tourist appeal, is part of conservative Muslim-majority Indonesia, where producing and sharing X-rated material can result in severe penalties, including up to 10 years in prison.

Indonesian authorities detained Jeanine and her Italian co-suspect, 24-year-old Nadir Ben Said, at Denpasar Airport on 13 March as they were preparing to leave for Thailand. Their alleged accomplice, 26-year-old Frenchman ERB, believed to have acted as Jeanine's manager and producer, was arrested separately in Canggu. Police seized three mobile phones, a camera, a MacBook laptop, and a motorcycle taxi vest, which were reportedly used in the production of the content.

Details of the Arrest and Investigation

As reported by the Daily Mail, the alleged video was filmed at Villa Pande in Bali's North Kuta District on the afternoon of 8 March. Local authorities were alerted after the content began circulating online.

Police have confirmed that all three were aware of the legal restrictions in Indonesia, but reportedly proceeded in pursuit of profit from online adult content. Badung Police Chief Joseph Edward Purba, speaking at a press conference, stated that all three are now facing charges under Indonesian electronic information and transaction laws.
