Sunderland manager Gus Poyet says that his side's 2-2 draw away to Manchester City is the latest cruel blow for his relegation threatened side.

Title-chasing City opened the scoring from Fernandinho's powerful effort in just the 2nd minute. But Sunderland didn't collapse like many side have at the Etihad this season, and when Connor Wickham struck twice in the second half, the Black Cats appeared on the verge of an unlikely victory. But a late goal from Samir Nasri ensured both sides shared the spoils.

Poyet admitted afterwards the draw was a cruel blow to his side, who find themselves six points from safety with five games remaining. They face another tough away trip in their next fixture when they face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
