Gypsy Rose Blanchard Hints She Is Going Through the Darkest Time After Ex-Fiancé's Death
Blanchard said social media scrutiny deeply affected Urker and outlined plans to remember him with their daughter, Aurora

Gypsy Rose Blanchard is speaking out about the death of her former fiancé, Ken Urker, as his death continues to attract coverage on social media.
The loss has taken a toll on the media personality, who shares a young daughter with Urker and has remained vocal about the criticism against him.
Her latest post called out 'gossip' and revealed how deeply the situation affected her and the steps she aims to take to ensure Urker is remembered beyond the controversy surrounding his life.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard Condemns 'Gossip' About Ken Urker's Death
Blanchard criticised the online discourse surrounding Ken Urker's death, urging people to consider the consequences of their words for those grieving him.
She posted a message on Instagram on 8 October addressing the insensitive comments that have continued since his death on his 34th birthday, 1 October. Blanchard said Urker had 'endured an unimaginable level of public scrutiny and relentless cyberbullying across social media platforms, including TikTok and Reddit'.
'The cruelty directed toward him was something no human being should have to endure,' she wrote. 'I believe the tremendous weight of that scrutiny and harassment had a profound impact on him, and I hope his passing serves as a reminder that there is a real person behind every screen, every headline, and every comment.'
'Your gossip could be the darkest time in someone's life,' she said. 'Be kind.'
According to Us Weekly, authorities in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana, received a call at approximately 6:15pm requesting assistance at a home in Raceland. By the time deputies had reached the property, Urker had already passed away.
Blanchard Hopes To Celebrate Urker's Life and Make Her Daughter Feel Loved
Blanchard had gained notoriety after she murdered her mother, Dee Dee, in 2015. Dee Dee had raised Gypsy while pretending she was disabled, allegedly abusing her in the process. After committing matricide alongside her then-boyfriend, Blanchard was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
While incarcerated, Blanchard met Ken Urker, who proposed to her in October 2018. The two called off the engagement before reuniting in August 2019. The two went their separate ways again, with Blanchard marrying husband Ryan Anderson, and then splitting from him four months after she was released from prison.
In the time since, Urker reconciled with Blanchard and shared a child with her, a girl named Aurora. Unfortunately, the child will not be able to grow up with her biological father, so Blanchard made it clear that 'she will make sure she grows up knowing how deeply her father loved her and who he was beyond what strangers on the internet chose to say about him'.
Blanchard revealed that she had been invited to Urker's funeral by his family and that she would 'most likely' attend once the arrangements were finalised. However, she also plans to organise a separate celebration of his life in November, with plans to include fireworks because of a memory they shared together.
'I have this memory of us for a Fourth of July celebration. We had bought so many fireworks and we had the best time to shoot them off,' Blanchard recalled. 'So I'd like to get fireworks and shoot them off in memory of that.'
Blanchard explained that Urker liked purchasing elaborate fireworks displays, making the tribute a way to remember his personality. She also revealed that she and Aurora joined his family for a private viewing on 3 October, which she admitted 'was the hardest thing to do'.
