Trump Gives Jake Paul 'Complete and Total Endorsement' as Influencer Joins Him on Air Force One
The boxer and social media personality accompanied the president to an Ohio rally

Social media personality and professional boxer Jake Paul travelled aboard Air Force One with US President Donald Trump on Monday, 12 October, as the president headed to a campaign rally in Youngstown, Ohio. Paul, who was pictured wearing a red 'America Is Back' cap, joined Trump for the trip months after the president publicly backed his potential political ambitions.
At a rally in Hebron, Kentucky, in March, Trump predicted that Paul would be running for political office 'in the not-too-distant future' and offered him his 'complete and total endorsement.' Paul has also expressed interest in entering politics, although neither he nor his representatives have announced a campaign or identified an office he intends to seek.
Paul's appearance in Ohio came as Trump campaigned for Republican candidates ahead of the US midterm elections on 3 November. While the journey placed Paul alongside the president at a major political event, Trump's earlier endorsement remains a statement of support for a possible future candidacy, not an announcement that Paul will run.
Trump Backs Paul's Political Ambitions
Trump made his prediction about Paul during a campaign event at Verst Logistics in Hebron on 11 March. According to the Lexington Herald-Leader, he told supporters that the influencer would enter politics in the near future and said he had his 'complete and total endorsement.'
Paul appeared alongside Trump at the event and praised the president, saying he had taught him courage and that people should not back down from a fight. Their appearance followed Paul's increasing involvement in political events and his public support for Trump.
In an interview published later that week, Paul was asked whether he would run for office. He replied, 'I think so,' and said he wanted to become more involved in politics because he believed it was a way to create change.

The comments suggest that Paul has considered the possibility of seeking elected office. However, he has not named a position he might contest, announced a campaign team or confirmed plans to enter an election.
Paul, 29, first gained prominence through online videos before establishing a career in professional boxing. His large social media following has also given him a public platform beyond sport and entertainment.
Ohio Rally Focuses on Republican Candidates
The Youngstown rally at the Covelli Centre formed part of Trump's campaign to support Republicans in competitive midterm races. Senator Jon Husted is facing Democrat Sherrod Brown in Ohio's Senate contest, while Republican gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy is running against Democrat Amy Acton.
Former NFL head coach Jon Gruden also travelled with Trump and Paul. Gruden, who grew up in Ohio, has previously appeared at a campaign event supporting Republican candidates in the state.

The presence of Paul and Gruden brought figures from online entertainment and professional sport into Trump's campaigning. Paul's appearance also renewed attention on the possibility of a future political career, following Trump's earlier prediction.
No Formal Candidacy Confirmed
Trump's endorsement has placed Paul in the conversation about potential future political candidates, but there is no confirmed indication that he has decided to run. His own comments show an interest in politics, while his appearance aboard Air Force One demonstrates his access to the president.
The endorsement remains a public expression of Trump's support for Paul's potential political future. Whether that interest develops into a formal campaign remains unconfirmed.
