Kelly Osbourne has ruled out repairing her relationship with her older sister Aimee, saying on Paul C. Brunson's We Need To Talk podcast that she does not believe the pair can reconcile. Comments reported on 15 September 2026 have brought the longstanding Osbourne family estrangement back into focus.

Kelly Osbourne Explains The Aimee Estrangement

The latest remarks came after Kelly was asked whether there was still a chance of repairing her relationship with Aimee. Her answer was immediate. 'No.'

Asked to elaborate, Kelly said the sisters were different but that she respected and accepted Aimee. 'No... I respect her, I accept her, but we're different, and that's okay...' she said.

Kelly then made more serious allegations about the relationship. She said Aimee had not accepted her for who she was, had tried to change her and had said 'horrible things' about her. Kelly also claimed her sister appeared to thrive when she was not doing well.

'If you're not going to accept me for who I am, and constantly be trying to change me and say horrible things about me, and truly seem to thrive when I'm not doing well, I don't want you in my life,' Kelly said.

Those claims should be understood as Kelly's account of the relationship. The source does not independently establish the allegations, and Aimee is not quoted responding to them.

The Osbournes Took Different Paths

For context, the sisters' differences over fame date back to the period surrounding The Osbournes. While Sharon, Ozzy, Kelly and Jack participated in the MTV reality series, Aimee chose not to appear.

Jack has previously described his relationship with Aimee as distant. Speaking on the Disrespectfully podcast, he said, 'I've never had the conversation with her, we're not close at all,' before adding, 'We don't have a great relationship, she'll be the first to tell you that, so it's no secret.'

Jack also said Aimee wanted to pursue music and viewed reality television as incompatible with the image she wanted. He recalled her saying, 'I'm not going to be seen riding coat-tails', and said she ultimately 'dug her heels in and wanted to be relatively private and obscure.'

Aimee Osbourne Previously Explained Her Choice

Aimee has offered her own explanation for avoiding reality television. In a 2020 interview on New York's Q1043 radio programme, she said she had always valued her privacy within her family.

'For me, I had grown up around having a pretty well-known dad anyway, and I always really valued my privacy within that family,' Aimee said.

She explained that appearing on television did not fit with how she wanted to develop as a person, rather than being remembered for her teenage years on screen. Her comments provide context for a decision that became one of the clearest differences between the siblings.

Aimee did appear publicly with her family after Ozzy's death. On 30 July 2025, Kelly, Sharon, Jack, Aimee and Ozzy's son Louis gathered during the funeral procession in Birmingham, England, where the family stopped at the Black Sabbath Bridge to view tributes.

Aimee's appearance was notable because of the privacy she had maintained over the years. The public gathering, however, should not be presented as evidence that the sisters had reconciled. Kelly's latest comments indicate that she does not believe their relationship can be repaired.
