Jaden Newman Leaked Video Controversy: Viral Post Claims LaMelo Ball Paid Her $250K for One Encounter
A viral post claims LaMelo Ball paid Jaden Newman $250,000 after seeing a private video

A viral post has claimed that NBA player LaMelo Ball paid social media personality Jaden Newman $250,000 (about £190,000) after allegedly seeing a private video involving her. There is no verified evidence that Ball made the payment or that the pair had the encounter described in the post.
The claim was published by an X account, which alleged that Newman had acknowledged sleeping with Ball after he saw the video and that he paid her $250,000 for a single encounter. The post also attributed a direct quote to Newman, but the statement has not been traced to a verified interview, official account or reputable news report.
The allegation has circulated amid a separate privacy controversy involving Newman. The San Francisco Standard reported that a private sexually explicit video involving her was circulated online on 30 July after she said she believed her Snapchat account had been hacked. That incident does not provide evidence for the claims made about Ball.
Viral Post Offers No Evidence
The ViralVault post did not provide documentation, messages or other evidence supporting its claims about Ball. No statement from Ball or Newman confirming the alleged payment has been identified, and the purported quote attributed to Newman has not been independently verified.
The existence of a controversy involving private material does not establish the separate claims made by ViralVault. The alleged payment and connection between Ball and the video remain unsupported.

The San Francisco Standard reported that Newman discovered the private video had been published online after she had been livestreaming and said her Snapchat must have been hacked. Newman and her father later declined to comment further to the publication about the leaked material. Her brother Julian has separately alleged that an ex-boyfriend was responsible, but that claim has not been independently verified.
Earlier Ball Connection Resurfaces
Ball and Newman had a public connection before the current rumour. In 2019, the Newman family appeared in the web series 'Hello Newmans,' which followed Jaden and her brother Julian during their basketball careers.
A reunion episode included a segment in which Jaden was asked whether she had a crush on Ball. She denied that she did, while other footage showed the two families interacting and Ball playing against Julian.
That material provides an existing online association that can be recirculated alongside newer claims. It does not establish a private relationship, sexual encounter or financial payment between Jaden and Ball.
The San Francisco Standard reported that a social media video later recreated a moment from 'Hello Newmans' involving Jaden and Ball, bringing the older footage back into online discussion.
$250,000 Claim Remains Unverified
Ball is an NBA player for the Charlotte Hornets, while Newman became widely known as a youth basketball prodigy before developing a large social media following. Their existing profiles help explain why claims involving the two can attract attention.
However, the current allegation appears to combine verifiable material about Newman's privacy controversy with older footage involving Ball. That combination does not amount to evidence that the events described by ViralVault occurred.
There is currently no reliable evidence supporting the alleged $250,000 payment, the claimed one-time encounter or the statement attributed to Newman. The private video controversy is a separate matter, and available reporting does not link Ball to the material.
