The professional resurgence of Lily Allen has been one of the most discussed narratives in British pop culture this year, yet her private life remains tethered to a previous chapter, according to a blind item. Beneath the chart-topping success of her latest music lies a complex emotional landscape that reportedly draws her back to a difficult past.

Despite a difficult separation that fuelled her recent creative output, the singer is allegedly yearning for a reconciliation with her former husband, David Harbour. A blind item alleged that she was missing the 'Stranger Things' star and was considering getting back with him, despite having struck a new romance with boyfriend Jonah Freud.

Lily Allen Allegedly Misses Estranged Ex David Harbour

A blind item shared by @celebritea.blinds on TikTok suggests that Lily Allen is vocalising her desire to reunite with David Harbour. The account posted a blind item claiming that the British singer has been telling confidants how much she wanted her ex-husband back.

'Considering that she had a career year because of her split, you would think the foreign born A-list singer would never get back together with her ex,' the blind item reads. 'She keeps telling people how much she misses him though.'

According to the video, Allen is even considering a romantic restart with her former partner despite the reportedly difficult nature of their prior relationship. 'Getting back with your toxic ex usually doesn't work out for the best,' @celebritea.blinds added.

The blind item sparked a flurry of discussion among followers who have closely tracked the couple's history. One attributed it to 'mercury retrograde,' with another agreeing, saying, 'it'll pass.' Others argued that missing someone does not necessarily mean wanting them back, while one fan concluded that it ultimately depends on what makes Allen happy — 'It's her life.'

Allegations of Infidelity and Substance Abuse Struggles During Their Split

The couple's separation late last year was marked by a series of reports and public speculation about the cause of the breakdown. Rumours of substance abuse struggles and claims that Allen was struggling began to circulate shortly after the split became public. Insiders also suggested that the environment in the marriage had become increasingly unhealthy and that Harbour did not treat her well.

Central to the narrative of their separation were multiple allegations of infidelity. Harbour was romantically linked to Natalie Tippett, a costume designer with whom he worked on the Netflix horror-comedy 'We Have a Ghost'. He allegedly took Tippett to their home in Atlanta without Allen's knowledge.

Allen seemingly confirmed Harbour's infidelity in her album West End Girl, released in October 2025. In her single 'Madeline', she sings, 'How long has it been going on? Is it just sex or is there emotion?' Later in the song, she adds, 'But you're not a stranger, Madeline.' Allen referenced the same name in her track 'Tennis': 'So I read your text, and now I regret it...You won't play with me -- and who's Madeline?'

Allen told Interview that she was 'really trying to process things' when she recorded the album, clarifying that she was not confused or angry and did not need revenge. As for whether the album was fact or fiction, she said, 'some of it is based on truth and some of it is fantasy.'

Moving on With a New Romance

The blind item claiming Allen is missing Harbour is somewhat surprising given that she has already embarked on a new romance. The 'Smile' singer confirmed her relationship with 28-year-old Jonah Freud by calling him her boyfriend in an interview.

Freud is the great-great-grandson of the pioneering psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud, and a writer and artist based in London. Allen's relationship with Freud has been described as a more stable and supportive environment for the singer. The emergence of the recent blind item, however, suggests that her emotional ties to Harbour may not be fully severed.
