After the flagship Lumia 940's specs were apparently leaked via appearances on some benchmarking websites, it is now the turn of its large screen variant, known as the 940 XL, to make itself known.

NokiaPowerUser has reportedly received some exclusive information from its source, who says Lumia 940 XL will come with cutting-edge specs as well as some exclusive features.

It is expected to be crafted into a metallic unibody frame with a slim design. The leak seems to confirm previous rumours about a 5.7in screen with Quad HD resolution at 2560 x 1440 pixels.

It will use the Snapdragon 810 chip, featuring an octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 430 graphics unit and 3GB RAM. It will offer 32GB internal storage and support the microSD card for additional storage.

It will have a 5MP (megapixel) front camera and 20MP rear camera with PureView technology. The camera will support short pulse variable-tone LED flash.

An iris scanner to unlock the phone via front camera, native pen support, Continuum for Phones, USB Type-C and dual-role support are some of the alleged features.

Windows 10 Mobile features such as 3D user interaction and multi-windows support are said to be a part of both the 940 and the 940 XL.
