A shocking incident unfolded outside the Beverly Hills home of pop star Rihanna when a 30-year-old unidentified woman was arrested after allegedly firing multiple shots at the property while Rihanna was inside. Authorities say the motive is still under investigation.

Rihanna and partner A$AP Rocky live in the Beverly Hills home with their two sons, RZA (born May 2022), and Riot (Born August 2023), and daughter Rocki, a little over five months old.

Gunfire Erupts at the Singer's Mansion

According to the Los Angeles Police, officers responded to reports of shots heard at around 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, 8 March, in the affluent Beverly Crest neighbourhood. A 30-year-old was subsequently arrested, according to sources.

Police reports say the suspect fired 7-10 rounds from an AR-15-style rifle from a vehicle, later identified as a white Tesla, parked across the property. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), Sgt. Jonathan de Vera confirmed there were no injuries reported, as shared by The LA Times.

Dispatch audio indicates that the Tesla fled towards Coldwater Canyon Drive following the shooting, and officers onboard a helicopter found the vehicle, tailing it until it reached its destination, the parking lot of the Sherman Oaks Galleria shopping centre. A 30-year-old woman was arrested half an hour after the call, according to the LAPD. Sources say the motive has yet to be identified, and an investigation is underway.

Multiple sources said that Rihanna and possibly other family members were at home during the shooting, but no injuries were later reported by the authorities. The multi-awarded artist was confirmed by authorities to be safe following the incident.

Authorities said the suspect was sporting braided hair, wore a cream-coloured blouse, and her car had a dirt-covered underside. LAPD spokesperson Armen Arias said, 'When they pulled the suspect over and took her into custody, they searched the vehicle and located an assault rifle and seven casings.'

According to Arias, the police say that the shooting left bullet holes in a gate in Rihanna's residence, as well as in an RV that was parked in the driveway.

Suspected Weapon Recovered; Investigation Remains Active

Law enforcement recovered the suspected weapon used in the shooting, and investigators from the LAPD's Robbery-Homicide Division are leading the investigation. No explanation for the incident has been released, and authorities have made no public comment on whether Rihanna and the suspect had made a prior connection.

NBC San Diego shared that a neighbour who had been in the kitchen was jolted by the gunfire in their usually quiet neighbourhood, sharing, 'I was a little shocked. We don't hear this kind of thing in this neighborhood. It's pretty quiet.'

Officials emphasise the case remains active, and investigations are ongoing, with motives still a key unanswered question. The investigation could expand as forensic evidence, surveillance footage, and interviews with witnesses are reviewed. Neither Rihanna nor her representatives has issued a public statement as of this writing.

The incident marks the second known attack on Rihanna's homes, as she had been targeted in 2018 when a man from Fullerton, later identified as Eduardo Leon, who pleaded guilty to stalking the singer, broke into her Hollywood Hills residence by hopping on a fence, and stayed inside for roughly 12 hours.

Rihanna, or Robyn Rihanna Fenty, is a 38-year-old artist from Barbados. She achieved a major career breakthrough with her studio album 'Good Girl Gone Bad' in 2007.
