Spider-Man actor Tobey Maguire officiated his ex-wife Jennifer Meyer's wedding to billionaire heir Geoffrey Ogunlesi on 10 October, marrying off his former spouse just weeks after their decade-long divorce was finalised, in front of Hollywood's biggest names.

A-List Guests Gather at Four Seasons Lanai

Jewellery designer Meyer, 49, married Ogunlesi, 34, at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai, with photos obtained by TMZ and People showing Maguire, 51, reading from a sheet of paper as the couple exchanged vows surrounded by flowers. The guest list read like an awards-show afterparty.

Leonardo DiCaprio attended with partner Vittoria Ceretti, while Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos, Rachel Zoe, and Courteney Cox joined the celebration. Ruby, 19, and Otis, 17, the two children Maguire and Meyer share, took part in the ceremony.

From Divorce Court To Wedding Officiant

Maguire and Meyer met in 2003 on the set of Seabiscuit, married in Kona, Hawaii, in September 2007, and separated in 2016 after nine years together.

Meyer filed for divorce in October 2020, Maguire filed his response in July 2025, and a Los Angeles judge declared the pair legally single on 21 September 2026. The court terminated their marital status, although other divorce-related matters remained unresolved. The judgement was entered weeks before Maguire stood up to marry his former wife to another man.

The Billionaire Family Meyer Is Marrying Into

Ogunlesi, founder and chief executive of The Ogunlesi Group, is the son of Nigerian financier Adebayo Ogunlesi. The elder Ogunlesi co-founded the private equity firm Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), which held an interest in London Gatwick Airport before BlackRock acquired GIP for roughly $12.5 billion (£9.3 billion) in a deal that closed in 2024.

Bloomberg estimated Adebayo Ogunlesi's fortune at $2.3 billion (£1.74 million) in January 2024, but Forbes's current estimate should be verified before publication.

Meyer brings her own Hollywood lineage as the daughter of former Universal Studios chief Ron Meyer. Ogunlesi proposed in late August 2024 with an emerald-cut diamond ring, and the couple welcomed their daughter in 2026, with reports placing her birth in May.

Why Meyer Calls Her Ex Her 'Best Friend'

Meyer has never hidden her affection for Maguire. She has called him 'the best dad, the best ex-husband, the best friend, the most generous', and told People that her new husband and her old one get along. 'Geoff loves him and he loves Geoff. And so everything just works', she said. Meyer once described the divorce itself as 'the most beautiful experience of my life' on a 2022 podcast, telling hosts she would 'do anything in the world' for Maguire.

The arrangement, she has admitted, took effort rather than luck, with the former couple travelling together and spending holidays as one family. During the January 2025 Los Angeles wildfires, Meyer and her household stayed with Maguire while parts of the city burned.
