W Group Adds Spyker to Its Portfolio as Volodymyr Nosov Takes Co-Ownership of the Legendary Dutch Carmaker
W Group expands into luxury automotive with Spyker acquisition, blending digital innovation with traditional craftsmanship.

Volodymyr Nosov, founder and president of W Group and WhiteBIT, has acquired a significant stake in Spyker, the Dutch manufacturer of handcrafted luxury sports cars. Under the agreement, Spyker becomes part of the global W Group ecosystem, a move that pushes the group beyond its roots in fintech and digital assets and into premium manufacturing and luxury mobility.
The decision is about far more than owning a piece of a celebrated car brand. It points to the next stage in W Group's evolution, taking it from a fintech and blockchain ecosystem toward a diversified international holding company.
By stepping into traditional industries and high-end manufacturing, W Group wants to close the distance between Web3 technologies and established Web2 businesses. The aim is a single ecosystem where innovation, digital infrastructure, and real-world assets all operate inside one strategic framework.
The investment is meant to back the revival and long-term growth of one of Europe's most storied automotive names. Spyker, founded in 1880, has built its reputation on handcrafted sports cars, aviation-inspired design, and a limited-production philosophy that keeps the marque in high demand among collectors around the world.
As part of the deal, W Group and Spyker will introduce Spyker Digital, a new technology company built to develop digital infrastructure and ownership solutions for the premium automotive sector. The venture will look at how emerging technologies can improve the customer experience, vehicle ownership, and brand engagement, all while protecting the exclusivity and craftsmanship that the Spyker name stands for.
'For many years, I have been invested in rare automobiles and have always admired Spyker's unique design language and extraordinary heritage', said Volodymyr Nosov. 'Becoming a co-owner of Spyker is both a personal and strategic investment. Our goal is to preserve everything that makes the brand special while helping it enter a new era of growth, innovation, and global relevance.
Spyker Digital will become a synergy of the finest traditions of European engineering and the digital economy, where a sports car is integrated with blockchain products and tokens.'
Victor Muller, founder and chief executive officer of Spyker, welcomed the new partnership and called it a major step in the company's return to the world automotive market.
'The enthusiasm we have seen since announcing the new Spyker C8 Preliator XXV confirms that there is strong demand for the return of Spyker', said Muller. 'With Volodymyr Nosov and W Group joining us as partners, we gain not only long-term strategic support, but also access to technologies and expertise that will help us build the next chapter of the Spyker story.'
Adding Spyker Cars broadens W Group's reach well past fintech and digital assets, bringing a premium manufacturer with deep heritage and worldwide recognition into the fold. For the group, this is a meaningful part of a long-term plan to move into traditional, non-digital markets. The model it is building, where digital assets and premium physical production share one technological framework, is designed to create a more versatile and resilient business ecosystem.
Spyker's comeback opens with the launch of the new Spyker C8 Preliator XXV at The Quail in Carmel, California, on August 14, followed by a showing on the Concept Car Lawn of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on August 16.
Both rank among the most prestigious dates on the luxury automotive calendar. The car itself marks a clear jump in performance, producing 800 bhp from a non-hybrid twin-turbo V8 and reaching a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph).
