The pick of today's Premier League, Serie A, La Liga and Bundesliga football transfer rumours, news and gossip for 18 October, 2011. All the latest transfer rumours surrounding Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus, Roma, Barcelona and Real Madrid will be covered here.

According to Tuesday's Mirror, Boca Juniors are poised to launch a sensational swoop for Manchester City misfit Carlos Tevez.

Tevez is set to discover on Wednesday how he will be punished after allegedly refusing to play against Bayern Munich last month. But the Argentina striker could leave Eastlands as soon as January, with Boca keen on bringing the 27-year-old back to the club where he began his career.

"We know it is difficult, but we will try," said vice-president Jose Beraldi.

Also in the Mirror, Spurs defender Ledley King is facing "new doubts" about his Tottenham future, after yet another injury setback. The England defender sustained groin-muscle damage in the 2-2 draw at Newcastle and could now face up to six months on the side-lines.

According to today's Daily Mail, Chelsea are weighing up a move for Argentina youngster Lucas Ocampos, also known as the "new Cristiano Ronaldo".

"Everybody wants to be like Messi, but Ronaldo is the one I like. I try to imitate him," the 17-year old said. Inter Milan, Bayern Munich and Liverpool are also lurking.

In the Metro, Arsenal are waiting to "nab" Paul Pogba from Manchester United, possibly at a red light. The Gunners were interested in the midfielder all the way back in 2009 but missed out in controversial circumstances to Sir Alex Ferguson.

Paris Saint-Germain have claimed a deal for LA Galaxy star David Beckham is "95 per cent done". Beckham will be offered an 18-month, £6m-deal and a choice of properties in the heart of Paris, which sounds like a tidy deal whichever way you look at it. Tottenham are "locked in a battle" with AC Milan over Brazilian teen sensation Casemiro. The 19-year-old, who plays for Sao Paulo, impressed at the recent Under-20 FIFA World Championships. And Zenit St. Petersburg are set to join Manchester City in the "race" for £30m Napoli hotshot Ezequiel Lavezzi, with Napoli resigned to losing the striker in the January transfer window.
