Brace yourself for the holidays and the season of awards shows! It's that time of the year again when your favourite stars and celebrities will rock the stage with high-octane performances and mesmerise with their glamorous looks on the red carpet.

The 22nd Critics' Choice Awards are here a month early to celebrate the best talents of both film and television in the year 2016. Before the star-studded event begins, here are the top nominees, presenters and where to watch live links.

Where to watch Critics Choice Awards 2016 live:

Instead of the usual slot in January, the annual gala will be kicking off this awards season from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, on 11 December at 8pm EST. As the biggest names in film and TV compete to win big, root for your favourites when the event goes live on A&E.

Viewers can also watch the gala via live stream on the official website of the network or tune in to Cut Cable Today to watch the awards online. Before the awards, check out the nominations special and hot trends off the red carpet show at 6pm EST.

Who will be hosting the Critics Choice Awards 2016:

Back for the second year in a row, comedian T J Miller will be taking over the hosting duties for the awards gala. "I've been blown away by how much A&E has been open to absolutely defying the idea of a coherent awards show in favour of just being funny," he had said earlier. The Silicon Valley star – who bagged his own Critics' Choice Award two years ago – will be returning to the show after a minor run-in with the law recently.

The list of presenters for the annual gala:

Apart from kick-starting the awards season, the Critics' Choice Awards will also serve as a major indicator of the films and TV shows that will eventually win in the ceremonies that follow. The big names who will present the awards include Justin Timberlake, Amy Adams, Kevin Hart, Anthony Anderson, Sterling K Brown, Kylie Bunbury, Kaley Cuoco, Bryce Dallas Howard, Walton Goggins, Cuba Gooding Jr, Nia Long, Michelle Monaghan, Jim Parsons, Norman Reedus, Jeremy Renner, Bella Thorne and Milo Ventimiglia.

And the nominees are:

The first big awards show of the season features major TV shows like House Of Cards, Veep, Westworld, Game Of Thrones, The Crown and more. Additionally, this year's major blockbusters have received a nod for Best Picture – Arrival, La La Land, Manchester by the Sea, and Moonlight are all hoping to win.
