Cruz Beckham has shared a new family photo which appears to exclude his older brother Brooklyn Beckham and wife Nicola Peltz Instagram/@cruzbeckham

Cruz Beckham has shared a new family photo marking his recent festival debut with his band The Breakers, but his older brother Brooklyn Beckham is not in the picture amid continuing reports of a family rift. The 21-year-old musician posted the image a few days after The Breakers played Reading Festival for the first time.

The post showed Cruz surrounded by parents David and Victoria Beckham, siblings Romeo and Harper, and their respective partners. Brooklyn, however, was not pictured.

The timing of the post has attracted attention because it came shortly after Brooklyn appeared in Venice with his wife, actress Nicola Peltz Beckham, as she accepted a Rising Star Award at the Kinéo Awards in Venice.

Cruz Beckham Celebrates Family Support

Cruz's family has been publicly supportive of his growing music career, with David and Victoria among those attending his Reading Festival performance. The Breakers performed at Reading on 29 August before appearing at Leeds Festival the following day.

After the Leeds performance, Cruz shared a message thanking those who had supported him during his festival appearances.

'I am so grateful for everyone around me, not only are they my best friends but they are family,' he wrote. 'To the fans and everyone who came to the gigs, i am forever grateful for every single one of you, you are the reason this is happening.'

Cruz also gave particular praise to his girlfriend, Jackie Apostel, thanking her for helping with the creative, strategic and management sides of his career. 'We are a team and would not be doing this without you,' he wrote. 'I really love you so much.'

A few days later, Cruz shared a photo of himself and Apostel with his family. He simply captioned the image with a heart emoji, and social-media users were quick to notice that older brother Brooklyn and wife Nicola were not in the photo.

Why Was Brooklyn Beckham Missing?

Brooklyn's absence has attracted attention because of the reported rift between him and the rest of the Beckham family. Cruz has previously been among the family members associated with the dispute, while Brooklyn has publicly discussed his strained relationship with his parents and siblings.

However, Cruz's latest post does not explicitly mention Brooklyn or say that the photograph was intended as a criticism of his brother.

Some social-media users and media reports have interpreted the omission as another apparent swipe at Brooklyn, particularly because it followed his appearance in Venice with Nicola. But the circumstances should not be presented as proof of Cruz's intentions.

The family picture shows Cruz surrounded by relatives who were present to support him during an important weekend for his music career.

Nicola Peltz Thanks Brooklyn in Venice Speech

Meanwhile, Brooklyn was supporting Nicola as she accepted a Rising Star award at the Kinéo Awards in Venice. During her acceptance speech, Nicola directly thanked her husband, praising him for his continued support.

She said her family was 'my everything' before thanking her parents, brothers and Brooklyn, adding: 'You always believe in me.'

Nicola also said that having their support was the reason she could 'reach to the stars', highlighting the importance of Brooklyn's encouragement as she marked the career achievement.

Brooklyn was present at the ceremony and appeared to support Nicola as she accepted the honour. The award was presented in connection with her role in the upcoming independent drama 'Prima', in which she stars alongside Faye Dunaway.

Beckham Family Rift Continues

The contrasting scenes in England and Italy have added another chapter to the public scrutiny surrounding the Beckham family. While Cruz celebrated his festival performances alongside David, Victoria, Romeo and Harper, Brooklyn was in Venice with Nicola, publicly supporting his wife as she received her career honour.

Neither Cruz's family photograph nor Nicola's speech explicitly addressed the reported family dispute. Instead, both moments highlighted the people each was publicly celebrating and thanking.

For Cruz, the focus remained on his music, his band and the family and friends supporting his ambitions. For Nicola, her Venice appearance provided an opportunity to recognise the people closest to her, including Brooklyn, whose continued support she made a point of acknowledging during her acceptance speech.
